While residing at Abu Acharya-Deva made Himself manifest in Bombay.
"'In the night of my last fast I perceived a hallow of Light in the midst of which I found the presence of Yogiraj Jagat-Guru Acharya Bhagwan Shree Vijay Shanti Surishwar Maharaj, then staying at Abu. His Holiness ordered me to terminate the fast and not insist on same any more. I had full confidence in the fact that his order of the Acharya-Deva bore some relation with Nature.
"While at first this gracious Guru-Deva asked me by a telegraphic message to break the fast I had no faith in Him as a great personality of Universal Love and even when I came in contact with Him and kept His Holy Company I had no full confidence in Him and I thought that His religion was different from mine. Besides, the blasphemy of other people was added to my own misunderstanding of Him wherefore I had no full confidence in the reality of His greatness.
“But during the period of my last fast I caught a glimpse of His Holy Light which led to the foundation of my faith in him as a great personality of the world. This is why I regarded His order as an inspiration from Nature and broke my fast.” Date 11-1-1937
