कच्चे घड़े में डाला हुआ जल जिस तरह जल और उस घड़े का विनाश करता है, वैसे अपात्र में दिये सूत्र और अर्थ को और सूत्रार्थ को नष्ट करते हैं । इस तरह का सिद्धांत रहस्य है कि अल्पतुच्छ आधार नष्ट होता है । सूत्र - ८४४
तब भी उस दुराचारी ने कहा कि तुम ऐसे आड़े-टेढ़े रिश्ते के बिना दुर्भाषित वचन का प्रलाप क्यों करते हो? यदि उचित समाधान देने के लिए शक्तिमान न हो तो खड़े हो जाव, आसन छोड़ दे यहाँ से जल्द आसन छोड़कर नीकल जाए | जहाँ तुमको प्रमाणभूत मानकर सर्व संघ ने तुमको शास्त्र का सद्भाव कहने के लिए फरमान किया है। अब देव के उपर क्या दोष डाले?
उसके बाद फिर भी काफी लम्बे अरसे तक फिक्र पश्चात्ताप करके हे गौतम ! दूसरा किसी समाधान न मिलने से लम्बा संसार अंगीकार करके सावधाचार्य ने कहा कि आगम उत्सर्ग और अपवाद मार्ग से युक्त होता है। तुम यह नहीं जानते कि एकान्त पक्ष मिथ्यात्व है । जिनेश्वर की आज्ञा अनेकान्तवाली होती है । हे गौतम ! जैसे ग्रीष्म के ताप से संताप पानेवाले मोर के कल को वर्षाकाल के नए मेघ की जलधारा जैसे शान्त करे, अभिनन्दन दे, वैसे वो दृष्ट श्रोताओने उसे काफी मानपूर्वक मान्य करके अपनाया उसके बाद हे गोतम ! एक ही बचन उच्चारने के दोष से अनन्त संसारीपन का कर्म बांधा ? उसका प्रतिक्रमण भी किए बिना पाप-समूह के महास्कंध इकट्ठा करवानेवाले उस उत्सूत्र वचन का पश्चात्ताप किए बिना मरकर वो सावधाचार्य भी व्यंतर देव में पैदा हुए। वहाँ से च्यवकर वो परदेश गए हुए पतिवाली प्रति वासुदेव के पुरोहित की पुत्री के गर्भ में पैदा हुआ। किसी समय उसकी माता पुरोहित की पत्नी की नजर में आया कि, पति परदेश में गया हुआ है और पुत्री गर्भवती हुई है, वो जानकर हा हा हा यह मेरी दुराचारी पुत्री ने मेरे सर्व कुल पर मशी का कुचड़ा लगाया । इज्जत पर दाग लग गया । यह बात पुरोहित को बताई वो बात सुनकर दीर्घकाल तक काफी संताप पाकर हृदय से निर्धार करके पुरोहित ने उसे देश से निकाल दिया क्योंकि यह महा असाध्य नीवारण न कर सके वैसा अपयश फैलानेवाला बड़ा दोष है, उसका मुझे काफी भय लगता है।
अब पिता के नीकाल देने के बाद कहीं भी स्थान न पानेवाले थोड़े समय के बाद शर्दी गर्मी पवन से परेशान होनेवाली अकाल के दोष से क्षुधा से दुर्बल कंठवाली उसने घी, तेल आदि रस के व्यापारी के घर में दासपन से प्रवेश किया । वहाँ काफी मदिरापान करनेवाले के पास से झूठी मदिर पाकर इकट्ठी करते हैं । और बार-बार झूठा भोजन खाते हैं । किसी समय हमेशा झुठा भोजन करनेवाली और वहाँ काफी मदिरा आदि पीने के लायक चीजे देखकर मदिरा का पान करके और माँस का भोजन करके रही थी। तब उसे उस तरह का दोहला (इच्छा) पैदा हुई कि मैं बहुत मद्यपान करूँ । उसके बाद नट, नाटकिया, छात्र धरनेवाले, चारण, भाट, भूमि खुदनेवाले, नौकर, चोर आदि हल्की जातिवाले ने अच्छी तरह से त्याग करनेवाली, मस्तक, पूँछ, कान, हड्डी, मृतक आदि शरीर अवयव । बछडे के तोडे हए अंग जो खाने के लिए उचित न हो और फेंक दिए हो वैसे हलके झूठे माँस मदिरा का भोजन करने लगी। उसके बाद वो झूठे मीट्टी के कटोरे में जो कोई नाभि के बीच में विशेष तरह से पक्व होनेवाला माँस हो उसका भोजन करने लगी । कुछ दिन बीतने के बाद मद्य और माँस पर काफी गृद्धिवाली हुई।
उस रस के व्यापारी के घर में से काँसा के भाजन वस्त्र या दूसरी चीज की चोरी करके दूसरी जगह बेचकर माँस रहित मद्य का भुगवटा करने लगी, व्यापारी को यह सर्व हकीकत ज्ञात हुई । व्यापारी ने राजा को फरियाद की। राजा ने वध करने का हुकुम किया । तब राज्य में इस तरह की कोई कुलधर्म है कि जो किसी गर्भवती स्त्री गुन्हेगार बने और वध की शिक्षा पाए लेकिन जब तक बच्चे को जन्म न दे तब तक उसे मार न डाले । वध करने के लिए नियुक्त किए हुए और कोटवाली आदि उसको अपने घर ले जाकर प्रसव के समय का इन्तजार करने लगे। और उसकी रक्षा करने लगे। किसी समय हरिकेश जातिवाले हिंसक लोग उसे अपने घर ले गए।
