आगम सूत्र ३९, छेदसूत्र-५, 'महानिशीथ'
अध्ययन/उद्देश/सूत्रांक सूत्र- ७४२
जिस गच्छ में छोटे-बड़े का आपसी वंदनविधि सँभाला जाता हो, प्रतिक्रमण आदि मंडली के विधान को निपुण रूपसे जाननेवाले हो । अस्खलित शीलवाले गुरु हो, जिसमें उग्र तप करने में नित्य उद्यमी साधु हो वो गच्छ।
सूत्र-७४३
जिसमें सुरेन्द्र-पुजीत आँठ कर्म रहित, ऋषभादिक तीर्थंकर भगवंत की आज्ञा का स्खलन नहीं किया जाता वो गच्छ।
सूत्र - ७४४
हे गौतम ! तीर्थ की स्थापना करनेवाले तीर्थंकर भगवंत और फिर उनका शासन, उसे हे गौतम ! संघ मानना । और संघ में रहे गच्छ, गच्छ में रहे ज्ञान-दर्शन और चारित्र तीर्थ हैं।
सूत्र-७४५
सम्यग्दर्शन बिना ज्ञान नहीं हो सकता । ज्ञान है तो दर्शन सर्वत्र होता है । दर्शन ज्ञान में चारित्र की भजना होती है । यानि चारित्र हो या न भी हो ।
सूत्र - ७४६
दर्शन या चारित्ररहित ज्ञानी पूरे संसार में घूमता है । लेकिन जो चारित्रयुक्त हो वो यकीनन सिद्धि पाता है उसमें संदेह नहीं।
सूत्र-७४७
ज्ञान पदार्थ को प्रकाशित करके पहचाने जाता है । तप आत्मा को कर्म से शुद्ध करनेवाला होता है । संयम मन, वचन, काया की शुद्ध प्रवृत्ति करवानेवाला होता है । तीन में से एक की भी न्यूनता हो तो मोक्ष नहीं होता। सूत्र - ७४८
उस ज्ञानादि त्रिपुटी के अपने अंग स्वरूप हो तो क्षमा आदि दश तरह के यति धर्म हैं । उसमें से एक-एक पद जिसमें आचरण किया जाए वो गच्छ ।
सूत्र-७४९
जिसमें पृथ्वी, पानी, अग्नि, वायु, वनस्पति और तरह-तरह के त्रस जीव को मरण के अवसर पर भी जो मन से पीड़ित नहीं करते वो गच्छ।
सूत्र- ७५०
जिसमें सचित्त जल की एक बूंद भी गर्मी में चाहे कैसा भी गला सूख रहा हो, तीव्र तृषा लगी हो, मरने का समय हो तो भी मुनि सचित्त पानी की बूंद को भी न चाहे । सूत्र-७५१
जिस गच्छ में शूलरोग, दस्त, उल्टी या दूसरे किसी तरह के विचित्र मरणांत बिमारी पैदा होती हो तो भी अग्नि प्रकट करने के लिए किसी को प्रेरणा नहीं देते वो गच्छ । सूत्र-७५२
जिस गच्छ में ज्ञान धारण करनेवाले ऐसे आचार्यादिक आर्य को तेरह हाथ दूर से त्याग करते हैं ।
