अध्ययन/उद्देश/सूत्रांक रोड़ा की तरह या वणिक पुत्री की तरह (यह किसी अवसर का पात्र है । वहाँ ऐसा अर्थ नीकल सकता है कि जिस तरह कुलवान, लज्जावाली और घुघट नीकालनेवाली वणिक पुत्री का मुँह दूसरे नहीं देख सकते वैसे मोक्ष सुख भी बयान नहीं किया जाता ।) नगर के अतिथि की तरह रहकर आनेवाला भील राजमहल आदि के नगरसुख को बयान नहीं कर सकता । वैसे यहाँ देवता, असुर और मनुष्य के जगत में मोक्ष के सुख को समर्थ ज्ञानी पुरुष भी बयान नहीं कर सकते। सूत्र-५४६
दीर्घकाल के बाद भी जिसका अन्त दिखाई न दे उसे पुण्य किस तरह कह सकते हैं । और फिर जिसका अन्त दुःख से होनेवाला हो और जो संसार की परम्परा बढ़ानेवाला हो उसे पुण्य या सुख किस तरह कह सकते हैं? सूत्र-५४७
वो देव विमान का वैभव और फिर देवलोक में से च्यवन हो । इन दोनों के बारे में सोचनेवाला का हृदय वाकई वैक्रिय शरीर के मजबूती से बनाया है । वरना उसके सो टुकड़े हो जाए। सूत्र - ५४८-५४९
नरकगति के भीतर अति दुःसह ऐसे जो दुःख हैं उसे करोड़ साल जीनेवाला वर्णन शूरु करे तो भी पूर्ण न कर सके । इसलिए हे गौतम ! दस तरह का यतिधर्म घोर तप और संयम का अनुष्ठान आराधन वो रूप भावस्तव से ही अक्षय, मोक्ष, सुख पा सकते हैं। सूत्र-५५०
नारकी के भव में, तिर्यंच के भव में, देवभव में या इन्द्ररूप में उसे पा नहीं सकते कि जो किसी मानव भव में पा सकते हैं। सूत्र-५५१
अति महान बहोत चारित्रावरणीय नाम के कर्म दूर हो तब ही हे गौतम ! जीव भावस्तव करने की योग्यता पा सकते हैं। सूत्र-५५२

कईं भव में ईकट्ठे किए गए, ऊंचे पहाड़ समान, आठ पापकर्म के ढ़ग को जला देनेवाले विवेक आदि गुणयुक्त मानव जन्म प्राप्त किया । ऐसा उत्तम मानव जन्म पाकर जो कोई आत्महित और श्रुतानुसार आश्रव निरोध नहीं करते और फिर अप्रमत्त होकर अठ्ठारह हजार शीलांग को जो धारण नहीं करते । वो दीर्घकाल तक लगातार घोर दुःखाग्नि के दावानल में अति उद्वेगपूर्वक शेकते हुए अनन्ती बार जलता रहता है। सूत्र - ५५७-५६०
