अध्ययन/उद्देश/सूत्रांक के पास से श्रवण किया हुआ कहता हूँ। सूत्र-१२४५-१२५०
जिनके चरणकमल प्रणाम करते हुए देव और अनुसरते मस्तक के मुकुट से संघट्ट हुए हैं ऐसे हे जगद्गुरु ! जगत के नाथ, धर्म तीर्थंकर, भूत और भावि को पहचाननेवाले, जिन्होंने तपस्या से समग्र कर्म के अंश जला दिए हैं ऐसे, कामदेव शत्रु का विदारण करनेवाले, चार कषाय के समूह का अन्त करनेवाले, जगत के सर्व जीव के प्रति वात्सल्यवाले, घोर अंधकार रूप मिथ्यात्व रात्रि के गहरे अंधेरे का नाश करनेवाले, लोकालोक को केवल ज्ञान से प्रकाशित करनेवाले, मोहशत्रु को महात करनेवाले, जिन्होंने राग, द्वेष और मोह समान चोर का दूर से त्याग किया है, सौ चन्द्र से भी ज्यादा सौम्य, सुख देनेवाला, अतुलबल पराक्रम और प्रभाववाले, तीन भुवन में अजोड़ महायश वाले, निरूपम रूपवाली, जिनकी तुलना में कोई न आ सके वैसे, शाश्वत रूप मोक्ष देनेवाले सर्व लक्षण से सम्पूर्ण, त्रिभुवन की लक्ष्मी से विभूषित हे भगवंत ! क्रमपूर्वक - परिपाटी से जो कुछ किया जाए तो कार्य की प्राप्ति होती है। लेकिन अकस्मात् अनवसर से भेड़ के दूध की तरह क्रम रहित कार्य की प्राप्ति कैसे हो सकती है ? सूत्र-१२५१-१२५३
पहले जन्म में सम्यग्दर्शन, दूसरे जन्म में अणुव्रत, तीसरे जन्म में सामायिक चारित्र, चौथे जन्म में पौषध करे, पाँचवे में दुर्धर ब्रह्मचर्यव्रत, छठू में सचित्त का त्याग, उसके अनुसार सात, आँठ, नौ, दश जन्म में अपने लिए तैयार किए गए - दान देने के लिए - संकल्प किया हो वैसे आहारादिक का त्याग करना आदि । ग्यारहवे जन्म में श्रमण समान गुणवाला हो । इस क्रम के अनुसार संयत के लिए क्यों नहीं कहते? सूत्र-१२५४-१२५६
ऐसी कठिन बाते सुनकर अल्प बुद्धिवाले बालजन उद्वेग पाए, कुछ लोगों का भरोसा उठ जाए, जैसे शेर की आवाज से हाथी इकटे भाग जाते हैं वैसे बालजन कष्टकारी धर्म सुनकर दश दिशा में भाग जाते हैं । उस तरह का कठिन संचय दुष्ट ईच्छावाला और बूरी आदतवाला सुकुमाल शरीरवाला सुनने की भी ईच्छा नहीं रखते । तो उस प्रकार व्यवहार करने के लिए तो कैसे तैयार हो सकते हैं ? हे गौतम ! तीर्थंकर भगवंत के अलावा इस जगत में दूसरे कोई भी ऐसा दुष्कर व्यवहार करनेवाला हो तो बताओ। सूत्र-१२५७-१२६०
जो लोग गर्भ में थे तब भी देवेन्द्र ने अमृतमय अँगूठा किया था । भक्ति से इन्द्र महाराजा आहार भी भगवंत को देते थे । और हमेशा स्तुति भी करते थे । देवलोक में जब वो चव्य थे और जिनके घर अवतार लिया था उनके घर उसके पष्प-प्रभाव से हमेशा सवर्ण की वष्टि बरसती थी। जिनके गर्भ में पैदा हए हो. उस देश में हर एक तरह की इति उपद्रव, मारीमरकी, व्याधि, शत्रु उनके पुण्य-प्रभाव से चले जाए, पैदा होने के साथ ही आकंपित समुदाय मेरु पर्वत पर सर्व ऋद्धि से भगवंत का स्नात्रमहोत्सव करके अपने स्थान पर गए। सूत्र - १२६१-१२६६
अहो उनका अद्भूत लावण्य, कान्ति, तेज, रूप भी अनुपम है । जिनेश्वर भगवंत के केवल एक पाँव के अँगूठे के रूप के बारे में सोचा जाए तो सर्व देवलोक में सर्व देवता का रूप इकट्ठा करे, उसे क्रोड़ बार क्रोड़ गुना करे तो भी भगवंत के अंगूठे का रूप काफी बढ़ जाता है । यानि लाल अंगारों के बीच काला कोलसा रखा हो उतना रूप में फर्क होता है । देवता ने शरण किए, तीन ज्ञान से युक्त कलासमूह के ताज्जुब समान लोक के मन को आनन्द करवानेवाला, स्वजन और बंधु के परिवारवाले, देव और असुर से पूज्य, स्नेही वर्ग की आशा पूरी करनेवाले, भुवन के लिए उत्तम सुख के स्थान समान, पूर्वभव में तप करके उपार्जित भोगलक्ष्मी ऐश्वर्य राजवैभव जो कुछ काफी अरसे से भुगतते थे वो अवधि ज्ञान से जाना कि वाकई यह लक्ष्मी देखते ही नष्ट होने के स्वभाव वाली है। अहो यह लक्ष्मी पाप की वृद्धि करनेवाली होती है। तो हम क्या चारित्र नहीं लेते?

The Devatas took refuge, the three knowledges, the group of arts, the wonder, the mind of the people, the family members of relatives, the Devatas and Asuras, the worshiped, the hope of the loving group, the place of supreme happiness for the world, the enjoyment of the wealth, the royal splendor, which they had earned by penance in the previous birth, for a long time, they knew from the knowledge of the period that this Lakshmi is indeed of the nature of being destroyed as soon as it is seen. Oh, this Lakshmi is the one that increases sin. So why don't we take Charitra?
