जितने में इस तरह के मन-परीणाम होते हैं, उतने में लोकान्तिक देव भगवंत को विनती करते हैं -हे भगवंत ! जगत के जीव का हित करनेवाला धर्मतीर्थ आप प्रवर्तो । उस वक्त सारे पाप वोसिराकर देह ममत्व का त्याग कर के सर्व जगत में सर्वोत्तम ऐसे वैभव का तिनके की तरह त्याग करके इन्द्र के लिए भी जो दुर्लभ है वैसा निसंग उग्र कष्टकारी घोर अतिदुष्कर समग्र जगत में उत्कृष्ट तप और मोक्ष का आवश्यक कारण स्वरूप चारित्र सेवन करे। सूत्र- १२७०-१२७४
और फिर जो मस्तक फूट जाए वैसी आवाज करनेवाले इस जन्म के सुख के अभिलाषी, दुर्लभ चीज की ईच्छा करनेवाले होने के बावजूद भी मनोवांछित चीज सरलता से नहीं पा सकते । हे गौतम ! केवल जितनी मधु की बूंद है उतना केवल सुख मरणांत कष्ट सहे तो भी नहीं पा सकते । उनका दुर्विदग्धपन-अज्ञान कितना माने ? या हे गौतम ! जिस तरह के मानव है वो तुम प्रत्यक्ष देख कि जो तुच्छ अल्प सुख का अहेसास करते हैं जिन्हें कोई भी मानव सुनने के लिए तैयार नहीं है । कुछ मानव कीरमजी रंग के लिए, मानव के शरीर पुष्ट बनाने के लिए उस का लहू बलात्कार से निकालते हैं । कोई किसान का व्यापार करवाता है । कोई गाय चरवाने का काम करवाता है । दासपन, सेवकपन, पाँव का व्यापार कई तरह के शिष्य, नौकरी, खेती, वाणिज्य, प्राणत्याग हो वैसे क्लेश परिश्रम साहसवाले कार्य, दारिद्र, अवैभवपन, इत्यादिक और घर-घर भटककर कर्म करना। सूत्र - १२७५-१२७८
दूसरे न देखे इस तरह खुद को छिपाकर ढिणीं ढिणी आवाज करके चले, नग्न खूले शरीरवाला क्लेश का अहेसास करते हुए चले जिससे पहनने के कपड़े न मिले, वो भी पुराने, फटे, छिद्रवाले महा मुश्किल से पाए हो वो फटे हुए ओढ़ने के वस्त्र आज सी लूँगा-कल सी लूँगा ऐसा करके वैसे ही फटे हुए कपड़े पहने और इस्तमाल करे । तो भी हे गौतम ! साफ प्रकट परिस्फूटनपन से समज कि ऊपर बताए तरीको में से किसी लोक लोकाचार और स्वजन कार्य का त्याग करके भोगोपभोग और दान आदि को छोड़कर बूरा अशन भोजन खाता है। सूत्र- १२७९-१२८०
दौडादौड़ी करके छिपाकर बचाकर लम्बे अरसे तक रात दिन गुस्सा होकर, कागणी-अल्पप्रमाण धन इकट्ठा किया हो कागणी का अर्धभाग, चौथा हिस्सा, बीसवाँ हिस्सा भेजा । किसी तरह के कहीं से लम्बे अरसे से लाख या करोड़ प्रमाण धन इकट्ठा किया । जहाँ एक ईच्छा पूर्ण हुई कि तुरन्त दूसरी खड़ी होती है । लेकिन दूसरे मनोरथ पूर्ण नहीं होते। सूत्र- १२८१-१२८३
हे गौतम ! इस तरह के दुर्लभ चीज की अभिलाषा और सुकुमारपन धर्मारंभ के समय प्राप्त होती है । लेकिन करिंभ में आकर विघ्न नहीं करते । क्योंकि किसी एक के मुँह में नीवाला है वहाँ तो दूसरे आकर उसके पास इख की गंडेरी धरते पर पाँव भी स्थापन नहीं करता । और लाखो स्त्रीयों के साथ क्रीड़ा करता है। ऐसे लोगों को भी दूसरे ज्यादा समृद्धिवाले सुनकर ऐसी ईच्छा होती है कि उसकी मालिकी के देश को स्वाधीन करूँ और उसके स्वामी को मेरी आज्ञा मनवाऊं। सूत्र-१२८४-१२८९
