आगम सूत्र ३९, छेदसूत्र-५, 'महानिशीथ'
अध्ययन/उद्देश/सूत्रांक और उनकी बुढ़ियाँ का चार गुना विनय करनेवाली थी । उसका लावण्य कान्ति से युक्त होने के बाद भी वो मस्तक से केश रहित थी। किसी दिन बुढ़ियाँ चिन्तवन करने लगी कि मेरे इस मस्तक जैसा लावण्य, रूप और कान्ति या वैसा इस भवन में किसी का रूप नहीं है तो उसके नाक, कान और होठ को वैसे विरूपवाले बदसूरत कर दूँ। सूत्र - ११९९-१२०२
जब वो यौवनवंती होगी तब मेरी पुत्री की कोई ईच्छा नहीं रखेगा । या तो पुत्री समान उसे इस प्रकार करना युक्त नहीं है । यह काफी विनीत है । यहाँ से कहीं ओर चली जाएगी तो मैं उसे वैसी कर दूं कि वो शायद दूसरे देश में चली जाए तो कहीं भी रहने का स्थान न पा सके और वापस आ जाए । उसे ऐसा वशीकरण दूं कि जिससे उसका गुप्तांग सड़ जाए । हाथ-पाँव में बेड़ियाँ पहनाऊं जिससे नियंत्रणा से भटक जाए और पुरान कपड़े पहनाऊं और मन में संताप करते हुए शयन करे । सूत्र-१२०३-१२०८
उसके बाद खंडोष्ठा से भी सपने में सड़ा हुआ गुप्तांग, बेड़ी में जकड़े हुए, कान-नाक कटे हुए हो वैसी खुद को देखकर सपने का परमार्थ सोचकर किसी को पता न चले इस तरह वहाँ से भाग गई और किसी तरह से गाँव, पुर, नगर, पट्टण में परिभ्रमण करते करते छ मास के बाद संखेड़ नाम के खेटक में जा पहुँची । वहाँ कुबेर समान वैभववाले रंड पुत्र के साथ जुड़ गई। पहली बीबी जलन से उस पर काफी जलने लगी। उन के रोष से काँपते हुए उस तरह कुछ दिन पसार किए।
एक रात को खंडोष्ठा भर निद्रा में सोती थी उसे देखकर अचानक चूल्हे के पास गई और सुलगता काष्ठ ग्रहण करके आई । उस सुलगते लकड़े को उसके गुप्तांग में इस तरह घुसेड़ दिया कि वो फट गया और हृदय तक वो लकड़ा जा पहँचा उसके बाद दुःखी स्वर से आक्रंद करने लगी । चलायमान पाषाण समान इधर-उधर रगड़ते हुए रेंगने लगी। सूत्र-१२०९-१२१४
और फिर वो ब्याहता स्त्री चिन्तवन करने लगी कि जीवनभर खडी न हो सके वैसे उसे डाम, कि सौ भव तक मेरे प्रियतम को याद न करे । तब कुम्हार की शाला में से लोहे का कोष बनाकर तप्त लाल हो जाए उतना तपाकर उसकी योनि में उसे जोर से घुसेड़कर उस प्रकार इस भारी दुःख की वजह से आक्रान्त होनेवाली वहाँ मर के हे गौतम ! चक्रवर्ती की स्त्रीरत्न के रूप में पैदा हुई । इस ओर रंडापुत्र की बीबी ने उसके क्लेवर में जीव न होने के बावजूद भी रोष से छेदन करके छोटे-छोटे टुकड़े किए और उसके बाद श्वान-कौआ आदि को खाने के लिए हरएक दिशा में फेंका । उतने में बाहर गया हुआ रंडापुत्र भी घर आ पहँचा । वो मन में विकल्प करने लगा । साधु के चरण कमल में पहुँचकर दीक्षा अंगीकार करके मोक्ष में गया। सूत्र-१२१५-१२१९
अब लक्ष्मणा देवी का जीव खंडोष्ठीपन में से स्त्रीरत्न होकर हे गौतम ! फिर उसका जीव छठी नारकी में जा पहुँचा । वहाँ नारकी का महाघोर काफी भयानक दुःख त्रिकोण नरकावास में दीर्घकाल तक भुगतकर यह आया हुआ उसका जीव तिर्यंच योनि में श्वान के रूप में पैदा हुआ । वहाँ काम का उन्माद हुआ । इसलिए मैथुन सेवन करने लगी । वहाँ बैल ने योनि में लात लगाई और चोट आई । योनि बाहर नीकल पड़ी और उसमें दश साल तक कमि पैदा होकर उसे खाने लगे । वहाँ मरके हे गौतम !९९- बार कच्चे गर्भ में पैदा होकर गर्भ वेदना में पकी। सूत्र-१२२०-१२२६

After that, she was born in the house of a poor human, but two months later, her mother died. Then her father, by going from house to house, made her drink milk and kept her alive with great suffering. Then he kept her in Gokula like a cowherd boy. There, the calves of the cows, while drinking the milk of their mothers, were tied with ropes, and the cows were milked.
