आगम सूत्र ३०/२, पयन्नासूत्र-७/२, चन्द्रवेध्यक' निकालकर भवसमुद्र पार करवाया है। सूत्र - १५३
__ परमार्थ से मुनि को अपराध करना ही नहीं चाहिए, प्रमादवश हो जाए तो प्रायश्चित्त अवश्य करना चाहिए सूत्र - १५४
प्रमाद की बहुलतावाले जीव को विशुद्धि प्रायश्चित्त से ही हो सकती है, चारित्र की रक्षा के लिए उसके अंकुश समान प्रायश्चित्त का आचरण करना चाहिए। सूत्र-१५५,१५६
शल्यवाले जीव की कभी शुद्धि नहीं होती, ऐसा सर्वभावदर्शी जिनेश्वरने कहा है । पाप की आलोचना, निंदा करनेवाले मरण और पुनः भव रहित होते हैं।
