## Agam Sutra 27, Payannasutra-4, 'Bhaktaparijna'
Sutra-Sutra-154
Such teachings, like the nectar of immortality, soak the mind, and just as a thirsty man is calmed by drinking water, so too does the disciple, becoming extremely healthy, say:
Sutra-155
O Lord! I desire your beneficial teachings, like a strong piece of wood, to cross the mire of the cycle of births and deaths. I will do as you have said. With such humility, he bows down and says:

Sutra-158
O virtuous man! You made a great vow amidst the fourfold assembly, that I will worship well. Now remember that.
Sutra-159
Who will break the Pacchakkhana, witnessed in the presence of the Arihant, Siddha, Kevali, and the entire assembly?
Sutra-160
_Even those who were severely tormented by Shialanis, attained worship through Avatisukumal meditation.
Sutra-161

Chanakya, the minister who fasted on the Padupopagam in Gokul, attained the highest good even after being burned by cow dung set ablaze by the minister Subandhu.

Sutra-164, 165
Therefore, O patient man! You too, relying on sattva, cultivate patience and contemplate the nirguna nature of the vast ocean of the world.
Birth, old age, and death, like water, are endless, like suffering, filled with aquatic creatures, and the cause of suffering for the soul. Such a sea of existence is very painful and fierce.
Sutra-166
I am blessed because I have found this rare boat of the true Dharma, which is difficult to obtain in millions of births, for the vast ocean of existence.
