(૧૯૪) લાઢ દેશ અને સુખ્ત લોકોને દેશ સુષ્મભૂમિ એ પણ એક જ છે, એમાં કોઈ શંકા નથી.
Ancient Indian Tribes, Vol. II, P. 8 ( 9 ) According to Nilkantha's commentary on Mahabhārat the Submas and the Rādhas were one and the same peoples This identification of the two peoples or Janapadas is hardly correct; for the Suhma country formed a part, according to the Åyārânga Sutra of Rādha country, the other important part having been called Brahma (c. f. Brahinottura of the Purānas and Brahms of the Kavgamimansa ). This two Janapadas practically covered the entire realm of Radha.
સુહુ પ્રજા અને રાઢ પ્રજા એક જ પ્રજા હતી એ મહાભારતના ટીકાકાર નીલકંઠને મત છે, પરંતુ તે મત) એ બન્ને પ્રજાની કે તેમના દેશની એકતા ભાગ્યે જ સત્ય થઈ શકે છે. રઢ દેશને સુહ દેશ એક ભાગ હતો, એમ આચારાંગ સૂત્રમાં કહ્યું છે. વળી એ જ દેશને બીજો મહત્વને ભાગ બ્રહ્મ હતે. બ્રહ્મને પુરાણમાં બ્રહ્મોત્તર કહે છે. કાવ્યમીમાંસામાં એને બ્રહ્મ જ કહેવામાં આવે છે. આ બન્ને દેશોથી રાઢનું આખું ય રાજ્ય અવિરત થતું હતું.
