Verses 169, 170
O worthy soul! For you, who has destroyed the external enemy in form of excessive sinful activity and increased the internal soul-strength, there can be no remaining cause of misery. Desirous of extirpating your internal enemies (of attachment and aversion), continue safeguarding your austerities by being vigilant in activities of eating, sleeping, roaming and sitting.
अनेकान्तात्मार्थप्रसवफलभारातिविनते वचःपर्णाकीर्णे विपुलनयशाखाशतयुते । समुत्तुङ्गे सम्यक्प्रततमतिमूले प्रतिदिनं श्रुतस्कन्धे श्रीमान् रमयतु मनोमर्कटममुम् ॥१७०॥
अर्थ - जो श्रुतस्कन्ध-रूप वृक्ष अनेक धर्मात्मक पदार्थ-रूप फूल एवं फलों के भार से अत्यधिक झुका हुआ है, वचनों-रूप पत्तों से व्याप्त है, विस्तृत नयों-रूप सैकड़ों शाखाओं से युक्त है, उन्नत है, तथा समीचीन एवं विस्तृत मतिज्ञान-रूप जड़ से स्थिर है, उस श्रुतस्कन्ध-रूप वृक्ष के ऊपर बुद्धिमान साधु के लिये अपने मन-रूपी बन्दर को प्रतिदिन रमाना चाहिये।
