યોગદક્ટિસમુચ્ચય જે હારા કરતાં પણ જડબુદ્ધિવાળા હોય તેઓને આ “ગદષ્ટિ લઘુતા દર્શન સમુચ્ચય' ગ્રંથ થકી લેશથી-કંઈક ઉપકાર સંભવે છે. આ
શબ્દ ઉપરથી મહાનુભાવ શાસ્ત્રકાર મહાત્માએ પિતાની અત્યંત લઘુતા સરળભાવે દર્શાવવા સાથે, કેને કેને આ ગ્રંથ ખાસ ઉપકારી થઈ પડશે, તેનું સૂચન કર્યું છે. કારણકે “હારાથી પણ જડબુદ્ધિવાળા” એ પદમાં “પણ” શબ્દથી પોતાના પણ જડબુદ્ધિપણાને લઘુત્વભાવે સ્વીકાર કર્યો છે. એટલે હું તે જડબુદ્ધિ-મંદમતિ છું જ, પણ મહારા કરતાં પણ જે વધારે જડબુદ્ધિવાળા-મંદમતિ આત્માઓ હોય, તેને આથી કંઈક ઉપકાર થશે એમ આશય છે. કારણકે મતિને વિકાસ આત્માના ક્ષોપશમ પ્રમાણે હોય છે, અર્થાત્ કર્માવરણના ક્ષપશમ પ્રમાણે બુદ્ધિની તરતમાતા-જૂનાધિકતા હોય છે. એટલે હું જે કે મંદ થયોપશમવાળે છું, છતાં મહારા કરતાં પણ મંદ ક્ષયપક્ષમવાળા જે છો હોય, જે આત્મબંધુઓ હોય, તેઓને આ હારી કૃતિ થકી કંઈક આત્મલાભ થ સંભવે છે. અત્રે “લેશથી”—કંઈક (a little) એ શબ્દ પણ લઘુત્વભાવને સૂચક છે. કારણકે આ ગ્રંથ મુમુક્ષુને કાંઈ જેવો તે ઉપકારી નથી, પરમ ઉપકારી છે, છતાં એમ કહ્યું છે. વળી અત્રે પિતાને પણ “જડબુદ્ધિ” કહ્યા તેનું પારમાર્થિક કારણ પણ છે. કારણકે જે જે ક્ષયોપશમભાવ છે તે તે ક્ષાયિક ભાવની અપેક્ષાએ અલ્પ વીર્ય છેમંદશક્તિવાળા છે, જડબુદ્ધિરૂપ છે. એટલે કઈ ગમે તેવા ઉત્કૃષ્ટ ક્ષયોપશમવંત હોય તે પણ ક્ષાયિકભાવની અપેક્ષાએ તે મંદમતિ-અલ્પમતિ જ ગણાય. એટલે ગમે તેવા - પશમને પણ મદ કરવા યોગ્ય નથી, એ ન્યાયે ગ્રંથકાર મહર્ષિ કહે છે કે-હારો ક્ષયેપશમ ભલે ગમે તે હોય, પણ હું તે જડમતિ છું, તથાપિ હાર કરતાં અલ્પ ક્ષયપશમી છે જે હશે, તે આથી કંઈક લાભ ઉઠાવી શકશે. કારણ કે અધિક ક્ષપશમવંત પાસેથી અલ્પતર ક્ષયોપશમવંતને શીખવાનું જાણવાનું મળે એ રીતિ છે;-જેમ વધારે ભણેલા પાસેથી ઓછું ભણેલે શીખી-જાણી શકે તેમ. (જુઓ પૃ. ૯૪ “અપવીર્ય ક્ષેપશમ અછે” ઈ.) આમ સાચા દઢ અધ્યાત્મરંગથી હાડોહાડ રંગાયેલા આ મહાનુભાવ મહર્ષિ હરિભદ્રાચાર્યજીએ અત્યંત અત્યંત સરળભાવે આત્મલઘુતા નિવેદન કરી, પોતાની ખરેખરી મહત્તા પ્રગટ કરી છે. કારણ કે-લઘુતા મેં પ્રભુતા વસે, પ્રભુતા સે પ્રભુ દૂર.”

મહાનુભાવ સુપાત્ર અધિકારી મેગીઓને અત્રે પક્ષપાત–શુભેચ્છા આદિ ઉપકાર કેવી ઉપજશે, અને તેથી કરીને તેઓને યથાસંભવ બીજ પુષ્ટિ વડે કરીને રીતે ? કંઈક ઉપકાર થશે. તે મહાત્મા ગીજને આ સતશાસ્ત્ર સાંભળશે,
એટલે તે ગુણગ્રાહી મહાજનેને એના પ્રત્યે કુદરતી પ્રમેદભાવ ઉપજવાથી પક્ષપાત થશે, શુભેચ્છા ઉપજશે, ભક્તિભાવ ફુરશે, યથાર્થ એગમાર્ગનું જ્ઞાન થશે, અને તે ગમાર્ગે પ્રવર્તાવાની અભિલાષા વૃદ્ધિ પામશે. એટલે તેઓને પ્રાપ્ત
