ગદષ્ટિસમુચ્ચય આ ઉપરથી સ્પષ્ટ સમજાશે કે પુરુષની ઓળખાણ પહેલાંના જીવને જે જે ફળ થતા હતા, તે બધા વંચક હતા-છેતરનારા હતા; કારણ કે સ્વરૂપ લક્ષ્ય વિના આ જીવે
જે જે અનંત ક્રિયા કરી, તેના તેને ફળ તે તેને અનેક મળ્યા, પણ વંચક ફળ અનેક તે સંસારત્યથી હેઈ સંસાર પરિભ્રમણરૂપ હતા. (જુઓ પુ.
૧૬૧, “એક કહે સાધિયે” ઈ. ) દેવાદિ ગતિરૂપ ઈધર–ઉધર અનેકાનેક ફળ તેને મળ્યા, પણ તે છૂટાછવાયા-વિશૃંખલ હતા, એક સાધ્ય લક્ષ્ય પ્રત્યે જ દોરી જનારા કડીબંધ-શૃંખલાબદ્ધ હતા. અથવા તેથી જે ફળપ્રાપ્તિ થતી હતી, તે સ્વરૂપસિદ્ધિરૂપ એક મેક્ષફળથી વિમુખ દિશામાં હતી, એટલે તે જીવ સ્વરૂપસિદ્ધિથી દૂર ને દૂર રહેતું હતું, અને આમ તે સફળથી વંચિત રહેતું હોવાથી તેને પ્રાપ્ત બધા ફળ
વંચક જ થતા હતા. પણ હવે સત્પરુષને અવંચક યોગ થયા પછી અવંચક ફળ ક્રિયા પણ અવંચક થયે, તે પરમ કૃપાળુ સત્પરુષના કૃપા-પ્રસાદથકી જ એક સાનુબંધ અવશ્ય અવંચક ફલન વેગ હોય છે. અર્થાત્ સાનુબંધ ફલની પ્રાપ્તિ
હોય છે. એક સફળ બીજા સલ્ફળની સાથે જેમાં સંકળાયેલું હોય છે, જેમાં ફળને અનુબંધ ચાલુ રહે છે–ત્રુટી જતો નથી, તે સાનુબંધ ફલપ્રાપ્તિ છે. જેમાં ફલ છૂટું છવાયું–વિશ્રૃંખલ નથી હોતું, પણ અંકોડાબંધ-એકવૃંખલાબદ્ધ હોય છે, તે એક સ્વરૂપલક્ષ્યની દિશામાં દેરી જતું એક મોક્ષપ્રત્યયી ફળ તે સાનુબંધ ફળ છે. આમ એક એકથી ઉત્તરોત્તર ચઢીયાતા પુણ્યાનુબંધી પુણ્યના અનુબંધથી જીવ સ્વરૂપલક્ષ્યની દિશામાં આગળ ને આગળ પ્રગતિ કરતે જાય છે, ને સ્વરૂપની નિકટ આવતે જાય છે. આ સ્વરૂપ પ્રત્યયી એક શ્રેણીરૂપ જે અખંડ ફળપરંપરા તેનું નામ જ સાનુબંધ ફળ અથવા ફેલાવંચક છે. આ સાનુબંધ ફલપ્રાપ્તિ તથા પ્રકારના સદુપદેશાદિથી હોય છે, કારણ કે સતપુરુષના ચરણસેવનથી–તેમના “પદકજ નિકટ નિવાસ”થી, ઉપાસનથી, “ઉપનિષદ્' થી
તેમના શ્રીમુખે સતવચનામૃત શ્રવણને પરમ લાભ પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે, અને સદુપદેશને તે તથારૂપ યોગ્યતાવાળા તે પાત્ર છવને પરિણમે છે. એટલે તે સહુપ્રભાવ રુષના સદુપદેશાનુસાર કરવામાં આવતી એકાંત સ્વરૂપલક્ષી સમસ્ત
ક્રિયાનું ફળ પણ અવંચક હોય છે. કારણ કે સ્વરૂપસ્થિત આત્મજ્ઞાની વીતરાગ સપુરુષને ઉપદેશ સદા મુખ્ય એવા સ્વરૂપ સાધ્યને અનુલક્ષીને જ હોય છે. શુદ્ધ આત્મસ્વભાવરૂપ યોગની સિદ્ધિ છે જે પ્રકારે થાય છે તે પ્રકાર આચરવાનો તેમને પ્રગટ સઉપદેશ હોય છે. સસ્વરૂપપ્રાપ્ત સપુરુષને ઉપદેશ સત્ જ હોય, સત સ્વરૂપ જ બધે, એટલે સતસ્વરૂપને અનુલક્ષીને થતી પ્રત્યેક ક્રિયા પણ સ્વરૂપનુસંધાનવાળી હોવાથી અવંચક ફલવતી જ હોય છે.
