Yogadrishtisamuccaya | (model) is the ideal form. Just as the artist-sculptor creates an artistic work by keeping the pure and beautiful ideal in view, in the same way the sadhaka, the devotee, the seeker of liberation, keeps the pure ideal of the perfected divine form constantly in view and realizes the nature of the self-form. (See p. 113) "The lion born in the family" just as it realizes its own form on seeing itself, in the same way this sublime soul realizes its own power through devotion to the Lord. Thus, being extremely beneficial in the attainment of self-realization, and being an ocean of incomparable qualities, the seeker of liberation naturally has the highest love for this most desirable divine Lord.
The reason for placing the word "Guru" first is to indicate the supreme influence of the present true Guru. Because the attainment of the path of supreme truth is always through the revered true Guru. Therefore, the word "Guru" is even more beneficial than the indirect Jinas of the past. That is why it is placed first. And the form of the Jina is also not understood without the teachings of the true Guru, and without understanding it, how can the beneficence of the Jina be known? In this way too, the revered true Guru is the one who makes us aware of the supreme beneficence of the Jina, so his position is placed first because he is the most beneficial. This is also the reason why the most sacred Navkar Mantra places the title "Arihant" before the title "Siddha", to show the greatness of the present living embodiment of the Supreme Lord, the true Guru. (See p. 130, the Gatha of Atmavishti).
Further, this "Kulgin" is also extremely dear as a "Dvija". What is this "Dvija"? It is worthy of spiritual contemplation. Dvija means one who has taken birth twice, or one who has taken a second birth. This second birth means the birth of spiritual refinement. The first birth is the birth of the physical body, but the true birth of a human being is when he receives the initiation of the right path, when the inner tonsure is performed - that is when he takes the second birth, the birth of right perception (samyagdarshana). The mere name of Dvija by birth is not related to this spiritual Dvija, because even one who has the external name of Dvija may not have this spiritual Dvija, and one who does not have the external name of Dvija may still have attained this spiritual Dvija, even if he is of low caste like a Chandala! So the physical birth as a Dvija is not related to this spiritual Dvija, therefore, from this perspective, anyone of any caste who has attained the birth of right perception can be called a "Dvija".
