યાગાદિસમુચ્ચય
ખરા અંતઃકરણથી ઇચ્છે છે. એટલે તે ડાહ્યો સમજુ રાગી જેમ કુશળ સવૈદ્યનું શરણુ લે છે, અને પેાતાનું ડહાપણ ડહેાળ્યા વિના વૈદ્યની સૂચના મુજબ ઔષધપ્રયાગ કરે છે, અને તેથી કરીને રાગમુક્ત થાય છે. તેમ સમ્યક્ સમજણવાળા ડાહ્યો સમજુ પ`ડિત' જીવ સદ્ગુરુરૂપ સુજાણ સવૈદ્યનું શરણુ લે છે, અને પેાતાની મતિકલ્પનાપ સ્વચ્છંદનું ડોઢડહાપણ છેડી દઇ શ્રીમદ્ સદ્ગુરુની આજ્ઞાનુસાર રત્નત્રયી ઔષધનું પ્રતિસેવન કરે છે, અને તેથી તે ભવરાગથી મુક્ત થાય છે. પણ કુપથ્યસેવનમાં આસક્ત એવા અણસમજુ રાગી જેમ મીઠુ' મીઠુ. અનુકૂળ વદનારા ઊંટવૈદ્યને (Quack) પકડે છે, અને તેણે ખતાવેલ ઊંટવૈદુ' સેવીને ઉલટા હાથે કરીને હેરાન થાય છે ને રાગમુક્ત થતા નથી; તેમ વિષય-કદન્નમાં આસક્ત એવા બાલ અણુસમજુ જીવ વિષયાનુકૂળ— પ્રથમ દૃષ્ટિએ મીઠા લાગતા પણ પરિણામે હાલાહલ ઝેર જેવા વચન વદનારા મિથ્યાદષ્ટિ અસદ્ગુરુરૂપ ઊંટવૈદ્યના આશ્રય કરે છે, અને તે અનાડી વૈદ્યના અનાડી ઉપાયથી હાથે કરીને ભવકૂપમાં ઊંડા ઉતરે છે ને ભવરાગથી મુક્ત થતા નથી. ઇત્યાદિ પ્રકારે રાગી રાગીના પ્રકાર હાય છે, અને તે ઉપરથી પણુ રાગની સાધ્યતા—અસાધ્યતાના પ્રાથનમાં (Prognosis) પણ ફરક પડે છે.
તેમજ–ાગ જેમ યથાયેાગ્ય ચિકિત્સાથી (Right treatment) કાબૂમાં આવે છે ને મટે છે, તેમ ભવરાગ પણુ યથાયેાગ્ય ચિકિત્સાથી કાબૂમાં આવે છે ને મટી જાય છે. રાગચિકિત્સામાં પ્રથમ જેમ રાગના મૂળ નિદાનને, કારણને, સ્વરૂપને, રાગચિકિત્સા ચિહ્નને, પરિણામને અને ચિકિત્સાને ખરાખર જાણનારા કુશળ નિષ્ણાત (Expert, Specialist) સવૈદ્યની જરૂર છે; તેમ ભવરાગની ચિકિત્સામાં પણ ભવરેાગના મૂળ નિદાનને, કારણને, સ્વરૂપને, ચિહ્નને, પરિણામને અને નિવારણરૂપ ચિકિત્સાને યથાર્થ પણે ખરાખર જાણનારા કુશળ જ્ઞાની સદ્દગુરુરૂપ ‘સુજાણ’ સ ્ વૈદ્યની અનિવાર્ય જરૂર પડે છે. વળી રોગના નિવારણમાં જેમ ઉત્તમ ઔષધની જરૂર પડે છે, તેમ ભવરાગના નિવારણમાં સમ્યગ્દશČન-જ્ઞાન-ચારિત્રરૂપ સદ્ ઔષધત્રયીની જરૂર પડે છે. પથ્ય અનુપાન સાથે એસડનુ ખરાબર સેવન કરવામાં આવે તે જ તે ફાયદે કરે છે, ગુણકારી થાય છે, નહિ. તે ઉલટુ અનથકારક થઈ પડે છે; તેમ ગુરુઆજ્ઞારૂપ પથ્ય અનુપાન સાથે જો પરમ અમૃતસ્વરૂપ રત્નત્રયી ઔષધિનું સમ્યક્ સેવન કરવામાં આવે, તે જ તે ગુણકારી-આત્માપકારી થાય છે, નહિ તે। આત્મા-હાનિરૂપ અન વિપરિણામ નીપજાવે છે. પરમ આત્મદ્રષ્ટા શ્રીમદ્ રાજચદ્રજીનુ' સુભાષિત છે કેઃ—
આત્મબ્રાંતિ સમ રાગ નહિ', સદ્ગુરુ વૈદ્ય સુજાણુ;
ગુરુ આજ્ઞા સમ પથ્ય નહિ, ઔષધ વિચાર ધ્યાન.”—શ્રી આત્મસિદ્િ

But a foolish, undiscerning person who is attached to wrong practices, like a camel owner who is attracted by sweet-talking, incompetent quacks, falls prey to their deceitful treatment and suffers further, remaining bound by raga. Similarly, a childish, ignorant soul who is attached to worldly pleasures, seeks refuge in a false guru who speaks sweet words that appear appealing at first but are actually poisonous in their consequences, and through the incompetent remedies of this inept physician, he falls deeper into the abyss of rebirth and remains bound by raga. And so on, there are different types of people afflicted by raga, and even among them, there are differences in the prognosis of the severity and curability of raga.

Just as raga can be controlled and cured through appropriate treatment, so too can the raga of rebirth be controlled and cured through appropriate treatment. In the treatment of raga, just as there is a need for a skilled, expert physician who truly understands the root cause, the reason, the form, the signs, the consequences, and the treatment of raga, so too in the treatment of the raga of rebirth, there is an indispensable need for a knowledgeable, wise Sadguru who truly understands the root cause, the reason, the form, the signs, the consequences, and the preventive treatment of the raga of rebirth. Just as there is a need for excellent medicine in the prevention of disease, so too there is a need for the medicine of right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct in the prevention of the raga of rebirth. Just as taking the right medicine with the right diet is beneficial and leads to healing, while taking it without the right diet is harmful, so too taking the medicine of the Ratnatraya with the right diet of following the guru's instructions is beneficial and leads to liberation, while taking it without the right diet is harmful and leads to spiritual downfall. The supreme seer, Shrimad Rajchandraji, has said:

"Raga is like self-delusion, the Sadguru is the knowledgeable physician;
Following the guru's instructions is like the right diet, the medicine is contemplation and meditation." - Shri Atmasiddhi
