મંગલાચરણ શબ્દથી જે તેને અપવાદ ન કરું અથવા તેનાથી હારું યુક્તપણું કહું, તે રખેને મૃષાવાદ-અસત્ય ભાષણ થઈ જાય; અને તે તે હારે કરવું યોગ્ય નથી, દુરથી પરિહરવું છે, નહિં તો વગર વિચાર્યું એક પણ અસત્ય વચન ઉચ્ચારું તે મહારું “મુનિમણું” કેમ રહે? એટલા માટે એ શબ્દપ્રયોગ કર્યો છે, તે ઉચિત જ છે, ઔચિત્ય પ્રવૃત્તિરૂપ જ છે; અને સર્વ સ્થળે આત્માથી મુમુક્ષુએ ઉચિતપણે જ પ્રવર્તવું ગ્ય છે એનું ઉદાહરણ બતાવવા માટે આ કહેલ છે. જ્યાં જ્યાં જે જે જેમ ઘટે, ઉચિત હોય, ત્યાં ત્યાં તે તે તેમ સમજવું અને આચરવું, તેનું નામ ઔચિત્ય અથવા ઉચિતપણું છે. કેવી અદ્ભુત નિર્માનિતા! કેવી ભવભીરુતા ! કેવી નિખાલસતા ! “જ્યાં જ્યાં જે જે યોગ્ય છે, તિહાં સમજવું તેહ, ત્યાં ત્યાં તે તે આચરે, આત્માથી જન એહ.” શ્રીમદ્ રાજચંદ્રજી પ્રણીત શ્રી આત્મસિદ્ધિ. આમ એક છાગ શબ્દ યોજીને ગ્રંથકાર મહર્ષિએ અત્યંત કુશળતાથી એકી સાથે અનેક હેતુ ગર્ભિતપણે સૂચવ્યા છે. (1) ઈચ્છાપ્રધાનપણથી પરમ પ્રીતિયુક્ત ભક્તિ બતાવી. (2) ઈચ્છાગના લક્ષણ પ્રમાણે પિતાનું સમ્યગદષ્ટિ સહિત શ્રુતજ્ઞાનીપણું સૂચવ્યું. (3) તે ઉપરથી યોગદષ્ટિશાસ્ત્ર ગુંથવાનું પોતાનું અધિકારીપણું ધ્વનિત કર્યું. (4) શાસ્ત્રગ ને સામર્થયેગનું પોતાનું અનધિકારીપણું નિખાલસપણે કહી, પિતાની પરમ લઘુતાનો, નિર્દભ સરળતાને ને પરમાર્થ સત્ સત્યવાદિતાને પરિચય કરાવ્યો. (5) સર્વત્ર ઉચિત પ્રવૃત્તિ કરવાને દાખલે બેસાડી બીજાને તેમ કરવાને બંધ કર્યો. સોન્ચેિ –ચોગિગમ્યુને. યેગીઓને ગમ્યુ તે ગિગમ્ય, એવા તે વીરને. યોગીઓ અત્રે ઋતજિન આદિ ગ્રહ્યા છે. આ ઉપરથી વળી અગી (એગી નહિ એવા) મિથ્યાદષ્ટિએને ભગવંતના ગમ્યપણને વ્યવછેદ કહ્યો (નિષેધ કચે). કારણ કે એની જિજ્ઞાસાનું પણ છેલ્લા યથાપ્રવૃત્તકરણમાં હોવાપણું છે, એટલે અન્ય સમયે તેની અનુપત્તિ છે (તે ઘટતું નથી). અને– વીરં–વીરને, આ અન્વથ સંજ્ઞા છે, (શબ્દના બરાબર અર્થ પ્રમાણે નામ છે). મહાવીર્યવડે વિરાજનથી, તપ વડે કર્મના વિદ્યારણથી, કષાય આદિ શત્રુઓના જયથી અને કેવલશ્રીના સ્વયંગ્રહણથી જે વિક્રાંત-પરાક્રમવંત તે વીર, એવા તેને. આમ આ ઉપરથી, અન્યને અસાધારણ એવા યથાભૂત-જેવા છે તેવા ગુણોનું ઉત્કીર્તન એ ભાવસ્તવનું સ્વરૂપ હોવાથી–-ઇષ્ટદેવતા સ્તવ કહ્યું. અને ગુણથી ઇષ્ટપણું ભગવંતના ગુણપ્રકર્ષરૂપપણુથી (અતિશયવંતપણાથી) છે, અને દેવતાપણું પરમ ગતિની પ્રાપ્તિથી છે. વચ્ચે સમાન ચોવં તદમેિવત :–ોગ તેના દષ્ટિભેદે કરીને સંક્ષેપથી કહીશ,-એ ઉપરથી પ્રોજન વગેરે ત્રણ કહ્યા. કેવા પ્રકારે ? તે કહેવામાં આવે છે : વ -કહીશ, ચો-મિત્રા આદિ લક્ષણવાળો યોગ,
