પણ દરિ: શેલેશીક૨થ-અયોગ ગસત્તથી નિર્વાણ
(૨૩) અંકુર ફૂટ નથી, તેમ કર્મરૂપ ભવ-બીજ બળી ગયા પછી, ભવરૂપ અંકુર ફૂટતો નથી.
“दग्धे बीजे यथाऽत्यन्तं प्रादुर्भवति नाङ्कुरः । कर्मबीजे तथा दग्धे न रोहति भवाङ्कुरः ॥"

મૂળ સહજ સ્વસ્થતાને પામે છે, તેમ ભવરૂપ ભાવગને નાશ થતાં આત્મા પિતાની અસલ મૂળ સહજ “સ્વસ્થતાને-સહજાન્મસ્વરૂપ સ્થિતિને ભજે છે, અર્થાત્ સહજ-યથા જાત આત્મસ્વરૂપમાં “સુસ્થિત’ એવો ભગવાન શુદ્ધ આત્મા પ્રગટે છે. અને જેમ રેગને નાશ થયા પછી નીરોગી મનુષ્ય આરોગ્યને સહજ તાત્વિક આનંદ અનુભવે છે, તેમ ભવરોગનો ક્ષય થયા પછી ભાવ આરોગ્યસંપન્ન આત્મા ભાવ-આરોગ્યને સહજ શુદ્ધ તારિવક પરમાનંદ અનુભવે છે.
પરમાનંદ વિલાસી અનુભવે રે, દેવચંદ્રપદ વ્યક્તિ... પૂજના તે કીજે રે બારમા જિનતણી રે.”
-શ્રી દેવચંદ્રજી. અને આમ ભવવ્યાધિનો ક્ષય થાય છે, એટલે ભગવાન પરમ એવા ભાવ નિર્વાણુને પામે છે. દીપકનું તેલ ખૂટી જતાં જેમ દીપક નિર્વાણને પામે છે-બૂઝાઈ જાય છે, તેમ
કમરૂપ તેલ ખૂટી જતાં ભગવાન પણ નિર્વાણ પામે છે. કારણ કે ભાવ નિર્વાણ કર્મ–તેલના અભાવે તેમને સંસાર-દી નિર્વાણ પામે તેવાથી–
હોલવાઈ ગયું હોવાથી, ભગવાન પણ “નિર્વાણ પામ્યા કહેવાય છે. અથવા જેનું ઇધન-બળતણ બળીને ખાખ થઈ ગયું છે, એવો ઉપાદાનસંતતિ વિનાને અગ્નિ જેમ નિર્વાણુને પામે છે-બૂઝાઈ જાય છે, તેમ સર્વ કર્મ ઇધન બળીને ખાખ થઈ જતાં ઉપાદાન–સંતતિ વિનાનો સંસાર અગ્નિ નિર્વાણને પામે છે, હોલવાઈ જાય છે. એટલે ભગવાન “નિવણ પામ્યા એમ યથાર્થ કહેવાય છે. "कृत्स्नकर्मभयादूर्ध्व निर्वाणमधिगच्छति । यथा दग्धेन्धनो वह्निनिरुपादानसंततिः ॥"

And just as a healthy human being experiences natural, inherent joy after the disease is destroyed, similarly, after the disease of birth is destroyed, the soul, which is healthy in terms of birth, experiences natural, pure, inherent bliss.

Just as a lamp is extinguished when its oil runs out, similarly, the Lord attains liberation when the karma-oil runs out. Because liberation from the cycle of birth and death is attained due to the absence of karma-oil, the Lord is said to have attained liberation. Or, just as fire, which has no fuel, is extinguished when its fuel is burnt to ashes, similarly, the fire of the world, which has no fuel, is extinguished when all the karma-fuel is burnt to ashes. Therefore, it is truly said that the Lord has attained liberation. "कृत्स्नकर्मभयादूर्ध्व निर्वाणमधिगच्छति । यथा दग्धेन्धनो वह्निनिरुपादानसंततिः ॥"
