Namo Jinaya. Sri Haribhadracharya's Sri Yogadrishtisamuccaya. The commentary on the Yogadrishtisamuccaya, which is close to the Gantantra, begins. And here, at the very beginning, the Acharya, for the sake of maintaining the tradition of the disciples, for the sake of the pacification of the learned obstacles, and for the sake of the exposition of the creation etc., presents the Lakshana-sutra:
"Bowing to the supreme Jina, who is attainable by the yoga of desire, I shall expound the yoga in brief, according to the division of the views." (1)
Humbly bowing to the heroic, attainable, supreme Jina, I shall explain the yoga in brief, according to the division of the views.
