કાંતા દષ્ટિ ચારિત્ર મેહપરાજય, સદાય હિતેાદય
(૫૫૧) અને તે સંક્ષિપ્ત મન-વચન-કાયાના યુગની પ્રવૃત્તિ કરવી પડે છે તે માત્ર સંયમના હેતુથી જ કરે છે, અને તે પણ નિજ આત્મસ્વરૂપને નિરંતર લક્ષ રાખીને અને ભગવાનું વીતરાગ દેવની આજ્ઞાને આધીનપણે રહીને. તે સંક્ષિપ્ત પ્રવૃત્તિ પણ ક્ષણ ક્ષણ ઘટતી જાતી સ્થિતિમાં હોય છે, અને છેવટે નિજ સ્વરૂપમાં લીન થાય છે. સર્વ ભાવથી ઔદાસીન્ય વૃત્તિ કરી, માત્ર દેહ તે સંયમ હેતુ હોય જો; અન્ય કારણે અન્ય કશું કપે નહિં, દેહે પણ કિંચિત્ મૂછ નવ જય જો.
અપૂર્વ અવસર એવો ક્યારે આવશે ? ” ઈ –શ્રીમદ્ રાજચંદ્રજી પંચ ઇન્દ્રિયના વિષયમાં તેને રાગદ્વેષ વિરહિતપણું હોય છે, ઈટ–અનિષ્ટ બુદ્ધિ હતી નથી; પાંચ પ્રકારના પ્રમાદથી એના મનને ક્ષેભ ઉપજતું નથી; દ્રવ્યથી, ક્ષેત્રથી, કાળથી
ને ભાવથી ક્યાંય પ્રતિબંધ કર્યા વિના તે નિર્લોભપણે પૂર્વ પ્રારબ્ધ વિષયકષાયજય: કર્મના ઉદયને આધીન થઈને વિચરે છે. ક્રોધ પ્રત્યે તે તેને સ્વઅપ્રમાદ- ભાવપણું વર્તે છે ! માન પ્રત્યે દીનપણાનું માન હોય છે! માયા પ્રત્યે અપ્રતિબંધ તે સાક્ષીભાવની દષ્ટાભાવની માયા કરે છે ! અને લેભ પ્રત્યે તે લાભ
સમાન થતું નથી કઈ બહુ ઉપસર્ગ કરનારો હોય તે તેના પ્રત્યે તે કેપતું નથી. ચક્રવતી આવીને વંદન કરે તે પણ તેનામાં માન ગેસું જડતું નથી, દેહ છૂટી જાય તે પણ તેના પ્રેમમાં પણ માયા ઉપજતી નથી. પ્રબળ લબ્ધિ-સિદ્ધિ પ્રગટે તે પણ તેને લેભને અંશ પણ સ્પશત નથી.
શત્રુ-મિત્ર પ્રત્યે તેને સમદર્શિપણું વર્તે છે, માન-અપમાનમાં પણ તેનો તે જ સ્વભાવ વર્તે છે, જીવિતમાં કે મરણમાં તે ન્યૂનાવિકપણું-ઓછાવત્તાપણું માનતો નથી,
અને સંસાર હો કે મેક્ષ છે તે પ્રત્યે તેને શુદ્ધ સમભાવ વર્તે છે. સર્વત્ર સમભાવ: તે એકાકીપણે સ્મશાનને વિષે વિચરે છે, વળી પર્વતમાં કે જ્યાં વાઘજિનકપીવત્ સિંહને સંયોગ હોય છે ત્યાં પણ વિચરે છે; છતાં તેનું આસન ચર્યા
અડોલ રહે છે ને મનમાં કેઈપણ પ્રકારનો ભ ઉપજતો નથી, પણ
જાણે પરમ મિત્રને વેગ પામ્યા હોય એમ તે જાણે છે. ઘોર તપશ્ચર્યા કરતાં પણ તેના મનને તાપ થતું નથી, અને સરસ અનથી તેના મનને પ્રસન્નભાવ ઉપજતો નથી. રજકણ હો કે વૈમાનિક દેવની ઋદ્ધિ છે, તે સર્વેય એક પુદ્ગલ સ્વભાવરૂપ છે એમ તે માને છે.
આમ તે ચારિત્રમોહને પણ પરાજય કરે છે, એટલે સર્વથા મોહના અભાવથી તત્વસમાવેશરૂપ કારણને લીધે–અત્યંત તવપરિણતિને લીધે તેને સદાય હિતેાદય જ

and he treats the world and the beyond with pure equanimity. Equanimity everywhere: he wanders alone in the cremation ground, and also wanders in the mountains or where there are lions, tigers, and monkeys; yet his seat remains firm and no kind of emotion arises in his mind, but
he knows as if he has met his best friend. Even when he performs severe austerities, his mind does not become heated, and he does not feel happy with pleasant things. Whether it is a speck of dust or the wealth of a celestial being, he believes that all are of the nature of a single particle.
Thus, he also defeats the attachment to character, so due to the absence of attachment in all respects, due to the cause of the inclusion of the elements - due to the extreme perfection of austerity, he always has welfare.
