રિથરાદષ્ટિ: “મૃગતૃષ્ણા જલ વૈલોક. છવ્યું ધન્ય તેહનું
(૪૭૩) આમ સંતજનોએ આત્મજ્ઞાનને–સમ્યગદર્શનનો ખૂબ મહિમા ગાયો છે. શ્રીમાનું યશોવિજયજી કહે છે કે-આત્મજ્ઞાનનું ફલ ધ્યાન છે, અને આત્મજ્ઞાન મુક્તિ આપનારૂં છે, માટે મહાત્મા આત્માથી એ આત્મજ્ઞાનને અર્થે નિત્ય યત્ન કરવા યોગ્ય છે, કારણ કે આત્માને* જાણ્ય, પછી જાણવાનું બાકી રહેતું નથી અને આ આત્મા ન જાણ્ય, તે પછી બીજું જ્ઞાન ફેગટ છે.” પરમ આત્મજ્ઞાની શ્રીમદ્ રાજચંદ્રજી અને પડે પાડે છે –
જબ જા નિજ રૂપકે, તબ જા સબ લેક; નહિં જાને નિજ રૂપકે, સબ જા સે ફેક.”—શ્રીમદ્ રાજચંદ્ર
मायामरीचिगन्धर्वनगरस्वप्नसंनिभान् । बाह्यान् पश्यति तत्त्वेन भावान् श्रुतविवेकतः ॥ १५६ ॥ મૃગજલ ગંધર્વનગર ને, તેમજ સ્વપ્ન સમાન;
બાહ્ય ભાવ તત્વથી જુએ, મૃતવિવેકથી સુજાણ, ૧૫૬
અર્થ :–આ દષ્ટિવાળો ગી શ્રતવિવેક થકી બાહ્ય ભાવોને તત્વથી માયાજલ, ગંધર્વનગર ને સ્વપ્ન જેવા દેખે છે.
વિવેચન “જેને કાળ તે કિંકર થઈ રહ્યો, મૃગતૃષ્ણા જલ ચેલેક..જીવ્યું ધન્ય તેહનું! દાસી આશા પિશાચી થઈ રહી, કામ ક્રોધ તે કેદી લેક-જીવ્યું ધન્ય તેહનું !”
આ દષ્ટિવાળા યોગીને શ્રતવિવેક પરિણત હોય છે, એથી તે દેહ-ગૃહાદિ બાહ્ય ભાવેને પરમાર્થથી મૃગતૃષ્ણા જેવા, ગધર્વનગર જેવા, સ્વપ્ન જેવા દેખે છે.
આ સમ્યગદષ્ટિ પુરુષ ભાવે છે કે આ સર્વ જગજજાલ મૃગતૃષ્ણા જેવી છે, મૃગજલ જેવી-ઝાંઝવાના પાણી જેવી મિથ્યા છે (જુઓ પૃ. ૨૧૬). ભર ઉન્ડાળામાં જંગલને
કૃત્તિમારીજ-મૃગતૃષ્ણકા, પર્વના ગન્ધર્વનગર, હરિશ્ચંદ્રપુર આદિ, સ્વપ્ન - રૂમ, પ્રતીત જ છે, સનિમાર-તેના આકારવાળા, વાઘાન-બાહ્ય, દેહ-ગૃહ આદિ, પતિ-દેખે છે, તન-તત્વથી, પરમાર્થથી, માવાન-ભાવોને, પદાર્થોને, શા કારણથી? તે કે-કૃતિઃ -શ્રુત વિવેક થકી, સમ્યક એવા શ્રુતજ્ઞાને કરીને. x"झाते ह्यात्मनि नो भूयो ज्ञातव्यमवशिष्यते । अज्ञाते पुनरेतस्मिन् ज्ञानमन्यन्निरर्थकम् ।।"

This type of yogi has attained the wisdom of scriptures, therefore, he sees the external objects like body, house, etc., as mirage water, Gandharvanagar, and dreams, from the perspective of ultimate truth.

This Samyagdarshi believes that this entire world is like a mirage, like mirage water - illusory like the water in a mirage (see page 216). In the middle of summer, the forest,
the mirage, Gandharvanagar, Harishchandrapur, etc., dreams - rooms, appear to be real, the cinema - its shapes, the external - body, house, etc., the husband - he sees, from the perspective of the soul, from the perspective of ultimate truth, the illusory - objects, why? Because - the wisdom of scriptures - through the wisdom of scriptures, by having the right knowledge of scriptures.
