દીમાદષ્ટિ કર્મભૂમિ પામી કર્મવેગી થાઓ !
(૩૧૭ ) ખરેખર ! મનુષ્યપણું એ ધર્મપ્રાપ્તિમાં–આત્મસિદ્ધિમાં અપેક્ષા કારણ છે. પ્રભુદર્શન આદિ નિમિત્ત કારણ પામી, આત્મપરિણામરૂપ ઉપાદાન કારણ જે પ્રગટે તે જ તે અપેક્ષા કારણનું સફળ પણું છે, તે જ તે લેખે છે. નહિં તે સંમૂઠ્ઠિમ જેમ જો તે શું? ને મુએ તોયે શું? તેને કાંઈ હિસાબ નથી. માટે સદ્ધર્મરૂપ નિમિત્ત પામી આત્મારૂપ ઉપાદાનને પ્રગટાવે, એ જ આ ધર્મ બીજરૂપ મનુષ્યપણાની ખેતી છે.
“નર ગતિ પઢમ સંઘયણ તે અપેક્ષા જાણે; નિમિત્તાશ્રિત ઉપાદાન, તેહને લેખે આણેપ્રણમે શ્રી અરનાથ. નિમિત્ત હેતુ જિનરાજ, સમતા અમૃત ખાણી; પ્રભુ અવલંબન સિદ્ધિ, નિયમા એહ વખાણી...પ્રણમે. “જન્મ કૃતાર્થ તેહને રે, દિવસ સફલ પણ તાસ;
જગત શરણ જિન ચરણને રે, વંદે ધરિય ઉલ્લાસ. ”—શ્રી દેવચંદ્રજી. “દશ દષ્ટાંતે દુર્લભ માનવદેહ આ, પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે મહા પુણ્ય સંગ જે; ઉતાવળે કરવું તે સાર્થક એહનું, ફરી ફરી બાઝે નહિ એ જગ જે.”-(ડૉ. ભગવાનદાસ)
પણ મૂર્ખશિરોમણિ એવા મંદબુદ્ધિ ભવાભિનંદી છે આમ ધર્મબીજરૂપ મનુષ્યપણાનું સાર્થકય કરવાને બદલે તે બીજને વેડફી નાંખે છે ! અનેક પ્રકારના દુરાચારમાં, મિથ્યાભિમાનમાં, પ્રમાદમાં, વિષયમાં ને કષાયમાં તેઓ અમૂલ્ય ચિન્તામણિ રત્ન સમાન મનુષ્ય જીવન ગુમાવી દે છે! ને કાગડાને ઉડાડવા માટે ચિંતામણિ રત્ન ફગાવી દેનાર મૂર્ખ જેવું કાર્ય કરે છે ! તેથી તેમને “એળે ગયો અવતાર' થાય છે.
“લક્ષ્મી અને અધિકાર વધતાં શું વધ્યું ? તે તે કહો, શું કુટુંબ કે પરિવારથી વધવાપણું? એ નય ગ્રહે; વધવાપણું સંસારનું નરદેહને હારી જ, એને વિચાર નહિં અહોહો ! એક પળ તમને હો !”-શ્રી મોક્ષમાળા

ત્યારે શું ? बडि शामिषवत्तुच्छे कुसुखे दारुणोदये ।
सक्तास्त्यजन्ति सच्चेष्टां धिगहो दारुणं तमः ॥ ८४ ॥

(317) Indeed! Humanity is the expectant cause in the attainment of Dharma and self-realization. The manifestation of the instrumental cause, such as the vision of the Lord, and the material cause, which manifests as the result of the self, is the success of that expectant cause, that is its account. Otherwise, what is the point of this existence? What if one dies? There is no account for it.
