પ્રકારના વિષઅનુષ્ઠાનને હાલાહલ વિષ જેવા આત્મઘાતક જાણ દૂરથી ત્યજી દઈ, મુમુક્ષુએ કેવળ નિષ્કામ ભક્તિ તાત્વિક સમજણપૂર્વક કરતા રહી, આત્માને અમૃતરૂપે પરિણમતું એવું તતુ વા અમૃતાનુષ્ઠાન પાદરવું જોઈએ, અને એવું સંશુદ્ધ ભક્તિ આદિ અનુષ્ઠાન જ ગસિદ્ધિનું સાધક થાય છે. “જિન ગુણ અમૃત પાથી રે....મન અમૃત ક્રિયાને ઉપાય રે....ભવિ.
અમૃત ક્રિયા અનુષ્ઠાનથી રે....મન આતમ અમૃત થાય રે.”—શ્રી દેવચંદ્રજી. “સંભવ દેવ રે ધુર સે સવે રે, લહી પ્રભુ સેવન ભેદ, સેવન કારણ પહેલી ભૂમિકા રે, અભય અષ અખેદ. ચિત્ત પ્રસને રે પૂજન ફલ કહ્યું રે, પૂજા અખંડિત એહ; કપટ રહિત થઈ આતમ અપણા રે, આનંદઘન પદ રહ.”–શ્રી. આનંદઘનજી.
બાકી મુગ્ધ-ભેળા જન તે એમ માને છે કે પ્રભુની સેવા સહેલી છે, સોહલી છે, સુગમ છે. “જે જે જે જે ક્ય કે ટીલા ટપકાં કે ચાંદલા કર્યા, કે નૈવેદ્ય ભોગ ધય એટલે બસ પત્યું ! પ્રભુ પ્રસન્ન! પણ પ્રભુ કાંઈ એવા ભેળા નથી ને એની સેવા પણ એવી રહેલી–સહલી નથી, પણ ઘણી જ દોહલી છે; કારણ કે જીવના “દિલનું કપટ” જાય નહિં ત્યાં લગી પ્રભુ સાથે પ્રીતિ જોડાય નહિં; માટે મુમુક્ષુએ તે જેમ બને તેમ પર પરિણતિને પરિત્યાગ કરી તે અહંત-સિદ્ધ ભગવાનની ભક્તિના અવલંબને પણ શુદ્ધ સ્વરૂપચિંતન પર ચઢવાનું છે કે-જેવું આ ભગવાનનું સ્વરૂપ છે, તેવું જ આ મહારા આત્માનું સ્વરૂપ છે. આમ શુદ્ધ નિશ્ચયથી તે સર્વ જીવ સિદ્ધ સમાન છે, પણ તે તે જે સમ્યફ પ્રકારે સમજે તે થાય. અને તેમ થવામાં નિમિત્ત કારણરૂપ સદ્ગુરુ આજ્ઞા, જિનદશા આદિ છે. પણ ઉપાદાનનું નામ લઈ જે આ અનુપમ નિમિત્તને છોડી દે છે, તે કદી સિદ્ધપણું પામતા નથી અને ભ્રાંતિમાં જ સ્થિતિ કરે છે.
“સર્વ જીવ છે સિદ્ધ સમ, જે સમજે તે થાય; સદગુરુ આજ્ઞા જિનદશા, નિમિત્ત કારણમાંય. ઉપાદાનનું નામ લઈ, જે એ ત્યજે નિમિત્ત; પામે નહિ સિદ્ધત્વને, રહે બ્રાંતિમાં સ્થિત.” શ્રી આત્મસિદ્ધિ.
