એ જ છે. ધર્મ એટલે વસ્તુસ્વભાવ, “વલ્લુરાવો ઘમો ” આ મહા તત્વગંભીર સૂત્ર પ્રમાણે આત્મવસ્તુનો સ્વભાવ તે આત્મધર્મ. આવા પરિશુદ્ધ-સર્વથા શુદ્ધ આત્મસ્વભાવરૂપ ધર્મ +વ્યાપાર-પ્રવૃત્તિ–આચરણ તે યોગ. આત્મા પિતાના શુદ્ધ દર્શનજ્ઞાનમય સ્વભાવમાં વર્તે તે જ વાસ્તવિક ધર્મ છે, તે જ ચારિત્ર છે, અને તે જ યોગ છે. આ આત્મધર્મ આત્માને સ્વભાવભૂત હોઈ સનાતન છે, શાશ્વત છે, ત્રિકાલાબાધિત છે. વાસ્તવિક “સનાતન ધર્મ” એ જ છે. જિનધર્મ એ એનું પર્યાય નામ છે, કારણ કે શુદ્ધ સહજાત્મસ્વરૂપને પ્રાપ્ત થયેલા શુદ્ધ આત્મા તેનું તત્તવાચક નામ જ “જિન” અર્થાત્ વીતરાગ પ્રભુ છે. અને એવા તે જિન–વીતરાગનો–શુદ્ધ આત્માનો ધર્મ તે જ જિન ધર્મ અથવા આત્મધર્મ છે. નિજ આત્મસ્વભાવમાં વર્તાવારૂપ આ સનાતન આત્મધર્મ એ જ આત્માને “સ્વધર્મ’–સ્વસમય છે, અને આત્માથી અન્ય એવા પરભાવ-વિભાવમાં વર્તવું એ જ “પરધર્મ”—પરસમય છે. આ આત્મસ્વભાવરૂપ “સ્વધર્મ'માં વત્તતાં નિધન-મૃત્યુ થાય તે શ્રેય છે, પણ પરભાવમાં વવારૂપ પરધર્મ' ખરેખર “ભયાવહ” છે ! “વધ નિધનં યઃ પરધર્મો મચાવ: '
ધરમ ધરમ કરતે સહુ જગ ફિરે, ધર્મ ન જાણે હો મમ; ધર્મ જિનેશ્વર ચરણ ગ્રહ્યા પછી, કેઈ ન બાંધે છે કમ. શુદ્ધાતમ અનુભવ સદા, તે સ્વસમય વિલાસ રે,
પર વડી છાંયડી જે પડે, તે પરસમય નિવાસ રે.” શ્રી આનંદઘનજી. આ ધર્મ તે પિતાના આત્મામાં જ રહ્યો છે અને તેમાંથી જ આવિર્ભૂત-પ્રગટ કરવાને છે, અથવા આ આત્મા પોતે જ ધર્મ છે, એટલી સીધી સાદી વાત લેક સમજતા નથી, અને પારકે ઘેર ધર્મ દ્રઢતા ફરે છે, પણ પિતાના ઘેર જ ધર્મ છે તે દેખતા નથી અને કસ્તુરીઆ મૃગ જેવું આચરણ કરે છે ! આ ધર્મમૂત્તિ આત્મારૂપ “ પરમ નિધાન પ્રગટ મુખ આગળ’ ખુલ્લે પડયો છે, તેને ઉલ્લંઘી જઈને તેઓ તેની શોધમાં બહાર નીકળી પડયા છે!
પર ઘરે જતાં રે ધર્મ તુમે ફરે, નિજ ઘર ન હો રે ધર્મ ! જેમ નવિ જાણે રે મૃગ કસ્તૂરી, મૃગમદ પરિમલ મર્મ.”—શ્રી યશોવિજયજી. “પરમ નિધાન પ્રગટ મુખ આગળ, જગત ઉલંઘી હો જાય ! જાતિ વિના જુએ! જગદીશની, અધે અંધ પલાય! ”—શ્રી આનંદઘનજી.
