ગષ્ઠિસમુચ્ચય ૪. બીજાને પરિતાપ ન પમાડનાર–રત્નનો પ્રકાશ જેમ ઠંડો ને નિર્મલ હોઈ, બીજાને પરિતાપ ઉપજાવતા નથી, તેમ આ દષ્ટિને બોધ પણ કષાય-વિષય આદિની ઉપશાંતતાના કારણે શીતલ ને નિર્મલ હોઈ, બીજાને પરિતાપ-કલેશ પમાડતું નથી. એટલું જ નહિં પણ અન્ય જીવોને પણ અહિંસા આદિવડે કરીને પરમ શાંતિનું કારણ થાય છે.
૫. પરિતોષહેતુ- રત્નના પ્રકાશથી પરિતેષ ઉપજે છે, તેની કાંતિ દેખીને આંખ ઠરે છે, ચિત્ત પ્રસન્ન થાય છે, કાચ જેવી તુચ્છ વસ્તુ વગેરે દેખવાનું મન થતું નથી, તેમ આ દષ્ટિના બોધથી આત્મા પરિતોષ પામે છે, ચિત્તપ્રસન્નતા ઉપજે છે, જે દષ્ટવ્ય હતું–જે દેખવા યોગ્ય એવું પરમ આત્મદર્શન હતું તે દેખી લીધું, એટલે તુચ્છ બાહ્ય વસ્તુ દેખવાનું* કુતૂહલ વ્યાવૃત્ત થઈ જાય છે-મટી જાય છે, ને આત્મા આત્મામાં જ નિત્ય રત રહી, તૃપ્ત થઈ જાય છે, સંતુષ્ટ થાય છે.
૬. પરિક્ષાનાદિનું જન્મસ્થાન-(૫) રત્નના પોતાના પ્રકાશથી તે રનની સર્વ બાજુ બરાબર દેખાય છે, તેમ જ બીજા પદાર્થોનું પણ પરિજ્ઞાન થાય છે. તેમ આ દૃષ્ટિના બેધરૂપ પ્રકાશથી બેધમૂર્તિ આત્માનું ને અન્ય વસ્તુનું બરાબર જ્ઞાન થાય છે. બે ધરત્નના પ્રકાશથી સમ્યગૃષ્ટિ આત્મજ્ઞાની પુરુષ વસ્તુને વસ્તુ તે દેખે છે.
વસ્તુગતે જે વસ્તુ પ્રકાશે, આનંદઘન મત વાસી રે.”—શ્રી આનંદઘનજી , () રન દીઠે જેમ બીજા કાચ વગેરેનું મૂલ્યાંકન થઈ જાય છે, સાચે હીરે દીઠે કાચની કિંમત કેટલી છે તેની બરાબર ખબર પડી જાય છે, તેમ બોધિરત્ન દીઠે અન્ય તુચ્છ પદાર્થનું મૂલ્યાંકન થઈ જાય છે, અનન્ય ચિંતામણિરત્ન સમાન આત્માની આગળ પર વસ્તુની કાંઈ કિંમત લાગતી નથી..
(૪) ઉત્તમ જાતિવંત રત્નની પ્રાપ્તિ મંગલદાયી ગણાય છે, ઐશ્વર્ય–સુખ-સંપત્તિ આદિની વૃદ્ધિ કરે છે, અનિષ્ટને દૂર કરે છે તેમ આ ઉત્તમ બેધરત્નની પ્રાપ્તિ સર્વ મંગલનું . મંગલ ને સર્વ કલ્યાણનું કારણ થઈ પડે છે.

The Birthplace of Examination, etc.** - (5) Just as the gem's own light reveals all sides of the gem, and also allows the knowledge of other objects, so too, the radiant light of this insight reveals the formless soul and other things clearly. Through the light of the two gems, the self-knowing person with right vision sees things as they are.

(4) The attainment of a superior gem is considered auspicious, it increases wealth, happiness, prosperity, etc., and removes evil, so too, the attainment of this superior gem of insight becomes the cause of all auspiciousness, welfare, and all good fortune.
