विचित्र प्रकार का विलास भी विवेकीजनों के लिए भय का कारण है ॥७२॥ इत्थमेकत्वामापन्नं फलतः पुण्यपापयोः । मन्यते यो न मूढ़ात्मा नान्तस्तस्य भवोदधेः ॥७३॥
भावार्थ : इस प्रकार पुण्य-पाप के फल की दृष्टि से एकत्व प्राप्त (सिद्ध) हुआ। मगर जो मूढ़ात्मा इस बात को नहीं मानता, उसके भवसागर का अन्त नहीं आता ॥७३॥ दुःखैकरूपयोभिन्नस्तेनात्मा पुण्यपापयोः । शुद्धनिश्चयतः सत्यचिदानन्दमयः सदा ॥७४॥
भावार्थ : इस पूर्वोक्त कारणों से दुःख के ही एक स्वरूप वाले पुण्य और पाप दोनों से आत्मा पृथक् है । क्योंकि शुद्ध निश्चयनय की दृष्टि से आत्मा सदा सत्-चित्-आनन्दमय है ॥४॥ तत्तुरीयदशाव्यंग्यरूपमावरणक्षयात् । भात्युष्णोद्योतशीलस्य घननाशाद् रवेरिव ॥५॥
भावार्थ : जैसे बादलों के मिट (फट) जाने से उष्णप्रकाश के स्वभाववाले सूर्य का रूप दिखाई देने लगता है; वैसे ही आवरण का क्षय होने से तर्यदशा में जाना जा सके ऐसा आत्मा का रूप दिखाई देता है ॥७५॥ जायन्ते जाग्रतोऽक्षेभ्यश्चित्रा धीसुखवृत्तयः। सामान्यं तु चिदानन्दरूपं सर्वदशान्वयि ॥७६॥ अधिकार अठारहवाँ
