धनिनांपुत्रदारादि यथा संसारवृद्धये । तथा पाण्डित्यदृप्तानां शास्त्रमध्यात्मवर्जितम् ॥२३॥
भावार्थ : जैसे धनिकों के लिए स्त्री-पुत्र-परिवार आदि संसारवृद्धि के लिए होते हैं, उसी प्रकार विद्वत्ता के अभिमानी लोगों के लिए अध्यात्मशून्य अन्य शास्त्र भी संसारवृद्धि के कारण होते हैं ॥२३॥ अध्येतव्यं तदध्यात्मशास्त्रं भाव्यं पुनः पुनः । अनुष्ठेयस्तदर्थश्च देयो योग्यस्य कस्यचित् ॥२४॥
भावार्थ : इसलिए मुमुक्षु आत्मा को अध्यात्म-शास्त्र का अध्ययन करना चाहिए, बार-बार उसका चिन्तन-मनन करना चाहिए, उसके परमार्थ को हृदयंगम करना चाहिए, उसमें बताए हुए व्यवहारों का आचरण करना चाहिए, और कोई योग्य जिज्ञासु व्यक्ति मिल जाए तो उसे परमार्थ समझाना चाहिए ॥२४॥
