In the 'Smriti Shastra' manners and conduct have been specially deal as they form the basis of cultural life. All the ceremonies from conception to marriage, have been discussed. The Smritikars think that a child so born with 'Sanskar' is a pride to the parents, the country and the times. Cultural life depends upon this teaching and discipline. Those, who do not know the importance of ceremonies and knowledge in removing the curtain of darkness from their minds, are never able to see the evolution of a cultural life. Culture is known from the "Smritis and without the knowledge of "Smritis' and the discipline presented there in, nobody can lead a cultural existence. Some people wrongly call civilisation as culture; civilisation is born out of social life.
