PALMYRA, POINT. Fol. 59. Point Palmeris y Entrance into yo Bay of Bengala . ... . a very wild Open " bay that Extendeth it selfe from Point Conjaguaree to Palmeris.

Not in Yule. (N. and E., p. 23, for 3rd June, 1680, has a very valuable quotation here : " Eight small measures make one Tomb [= Mercall], Five Tombs make one Parra, eighty Parras make one Garoo." It is a pity that the text has a blank just here.]
PARIAH. Fol. 27. there are another Sort of inhabitants about this (Choromandel] Coast that are ! Offscum of all y rest they are called Parjers, they are of noe Cast whatever.
