१७०. दाणं भोयणमेत्तं, दिज्जइ धन्नो हवेइ सायारो ।
पत्तापत्तविसेसं, संदसणे किं वियारेण ।।१२।।
भोजन मात्र का दान करने से भी गृहस्थ धन्य होता है । इसमें पात्र और अपात्र का विचार करने से क्या लाभ ?
૧૭૦. માત્ર ભોજનનું દાન દેવાથી ગૃહસ્થ ધન્ય બને છે. તેથી એમાં
પાત્ર કે અપાત્રતો વિચાર કરવાથી શો લાભ ?
170. A house holder becomes gratified just by
offering free meal (out of compassion), what is to be gained by thinking merits or demerits of the persons offered.
१७१. साहूणं कप्पणिज्जं, जं न वि दिण्णं कहिं पि किंचि तहिं ।
धीरा जहुत्तकारी, सुसावया तं न भुंजंति ॥१३॥
जिस घर में साधुओं को कल्पनीय (उनके अनुकूल) किंचित् भी दान नहीं दिया जाता, उस घर में शास्त्रोक्त आचरण करने वाले धीर और त्यागी सुश्रावक भोजन नहीं करते ।
૧૭૧. જે ઘરમાં સાધુઓને કલ્પતીય (અનૂકુળ) કંઈ પણ દાત
દેવામાં આવતું નથી, એ ઘરમાં શાસ્ત્રોક્ત આચાર પાળવાર ધીર અને ત્યાગી સુશ્રાવક ભોજન કરતા નથી.
171. A household, where saints are not offered,
whatever is acceptable to them by way of 'Supatra Daan', deserving householder who is observing conduct as prescribed in scriptures, who is serious in his nature as also has renounced (undesirable consumption), do not
