૧૨૦. માનવી જ્ઞાતથી જીવાદિ પદાર્થોને જાણે છે, દર્શનથી એવામાં
શ્રદ્ધા રાખે છે, ચારિત્રથી કર્માસ્ત્રવતો વિરોધ કરે છે અને તપથી વિશુદ્ધ થાય છે.
120. A man knows material substance through
knowledge, with the perception, he develops faith in it and character helps him in controlling influx of karmas whereas he attains purification through penance.
१२१. नादंसणिस्स नाणं, नाणेण विणा न हुंति चरणगुणा ।
अगुणिस्स नत्थि मोक्खो, नत्थि अमोक्खस्स निव्वाणं ॥३॥
सम्यग्दर्शन के बिना ज्ञान नहीं होता । ज्ञान के बिना चारित्रगुण नहीं होता । चारित्रगुण के बिना मोक्ष (कर्मक्षय) नहीं होता और मोक्ष के बिना निर्वाण नहीं होता ।
૧૨૧. સમ્યગ્દર્શન વિના જ્ઞાન થતું નથી. જ્ઞાત વિતા ચારિત્રગુણ
પ્રાપ્ત થતા નથી. ચારિત્રગુણ વિતા મોક્ષ (કર્મક્ષય) મળતું તથી અને મોક્ષ વિના નિર્વાણ પ્રાપ્ત થતું નથી.
121. In absence of right perception there cannot
be right knowledge and without knowledge the quality of character is not attained and unless virtue of character is developed, there is no liberation (Extinction of Karmas) and without liberation No nirwan can be attained.
