७३. अत्ता चेव अहिंसा, अत्ता हिंसति णिच्छओ समए ।
जो होदि अप्पमत्तो, अहिंसगो हिंसगो इदरो ।।९।।
आत्मा ही अहिंसा है और आत्मा ही हिंसा है-यह सिद्धान्त का निश्चय है । जो अप्रमत्त है वह अहिंसक है और जो प्रमत्त है वह हिंसक है।
७3. मात्मा ४ महिंसा छ भने मात्मा ४ हिंसा छ - ॥
સિદ્ધાંતનો નિશ્ચય છે. જે અપ્રમાદી છે તે અહિંસક છે અને જે પ્રમાદી છે તે હિંસક છે.
73. Soul itself is in violent or nonviolent mode. This
is the determination of principle. One who is vigilant, is non violent whereas the lack of vigilance makes him violent.
७४. तुंगं न मंदराओ, आगासाओ विसालयं नत्थि ।
जह तह जंयमि जाणसु, धम्ममहिंसासमं नत्थि ॥१०॥
जैसे जगत् में मेरु-पर्वत से ऊँचा और आकाश से विशाल और कुछ नहीं है, वैसे ही अहिंसा के समान कोई धर्म नहीं है।
૭૪. જેવી રીતે જગતમાં મેરુ પર્વતથી ઊંચું અને આકાશથી વિશાળ
બીજું કંઈ નથી, એ જ રીતે અહિંસા સમાન કોઈ ધર્મ નથી.
74. Just as there is nothing higher/taller than Mount
Meru and nothing spacious than the sky in this universe, so is the case where there is no other
