આસન આપવું, ગુરુજતોની ભાવથી ભક્તિ તથા સેવા કરવી, विनय-तप छे.
240. To stand up respectfully on entry of spiritual
teacher or elderly persons and fold hands, offering seat, To serve them worshiping with affection & devotion is a kind of austerity called politeness/modesty/humility.
२४१. एकम्मि हीलियम्मि, हीलिया हुंति ते सव्वे ।
एकम्मि पूडयम्मि, पूइया हुंति सव्वे ॥१५॥ एक के तिरस्कार में सबका तिरस्कार होता है और एक की पूजा में सबकी पूजा होती है । (इसलिए जहाँ कहीं कोई
पूज्य या वृद्धजन दिखाई दें, उनका विनय करना चाहिए ।) ૨૪૧. એકતા તિરસ્કારથી બધાનો તિરસ્કાર થાય છે અને એકતી
પૂજાથી બધાની પૂજા થાય છે. (તેથી જ્યાં ક્યાંય કોઈ પૂજય કે વૃદ્ધજન મળે, એનો વિતય કરવો જોઈએ.)
241. By contempt of one, all get contempted,
whereas by worshiping one, all are worshipped. Therefore anywhere we come across respected old persons, we should offer courtsey to them.
२४२. विणओ सासणे मूलं, विणीओ संजओ भवे ।
विणयाओ विप्पमुक्कस्स, कओ धम्मो कओ तवो ? ॥१६॥ विनय जिनशासन का मूल है । संयम तथा तप से विनीत बनना चाहिए । जो विनय से रहित है, उसका कैसा धर्म
