भी अध्ययन करवाया जाये । पूज्य गुरुदेव श्री ने श्रद्धेय वल्लभमुनि जी म.सा. के स्वर्गवास के बाद विद्वज्जगत के मूर्धन्य मनीषी डॉ. छगनलाल जी शास्त्री के सम्मुख अपने भावोद्गार प्रकट किए । डॉ. शास्त्रीजी ने भी गुरुदेव के आत्मीय एवं भाव विह्वल उद्गार को सहज - स्वीकृत कर लिया और अध्यापन में समर्पित हो गए । सर्वप्रथम सूत्रकृताङ्ग सूत्र की शीलाङ्काचार्यकृत टीका का ही अध्ययन प्रारंभ किया... गया । इस टीका में आगम का दार्शनिक दृष्टि से विश्लेषण है । टीकाकार ने प्राचीन नियुक्ति व चूर्णि साहित्य का आधार लेते हुए नए-नए हेतुओं द्वारा आगम के गहन विषय को और अधिक स्पष्टता देते हुए, पुष्ट किया है । वस्तुतः सूत्रकृताङ्ग जैसे दार्शनिक आगम को समझने के लिए आचार्य शीलाङ्क की यह टीका अद्वितीय है ।
अध्ययन के दौरान मेरे मन में ऐसा विचारोद्भावन हुआ कि ग्यारह अङ्गों पर जो जैन विद्या के मूल स्रोत है - विशेष कार्य किया जाये । इस सम्बन्ध में विद्वद्- मूर्धन्य, जैन आगम-दर्शन के गहन अध्येता श्रीयुत् डॉ. छगनलाल जी शास्त्री, का जो हमारे अध्यापन में निरत रहे हैं। - आज भी है के समक्ष यह चर्चा चली । उनको मेरा विचार बहुत ही उपयुक्त एवं लाभप्रदलगा । हमने, अपने सभी साधु-साध्वियों के साथ भी इस पर विचार-विमर्श किया ।

इस विचार-मंथन के परिणामस्वरूप सभी को ऐसा समीचीन प्रतीत हुआ कि शीलाङ्काचार्य कृत आचारांग तथा सूत्रकृताङ्ग सूत्र की टीकाओं का तथा अभयदेव सूरि कृत शेष नौ अङ्गों की टीकाओं का हिन्दी अनुवाद प्रकाश में लाया जाय । हिन्दी भारत की राष्ट्रभाषा है, देश में अधिकतम लोग इसी भाषा में बोलते हैं एवं लिखते-पढ़ते हैं । उत्तर भारत एवं मध्य - भारत में प्रायः सभी विश्वविद्यालयों में हिन्दी माध्यम से उच्चतम अध्ययन हो रहा है । हिन्दी भाषा में प्रकाशित साहित्य सबके उपयोग में आ सकता है ।
अतएव गत अक्षय तृतीया के पावन प्रसङ्ग पर श्री भीमसिंह जी संचेती की सुपर सिन्कोटेक्स इण्डिया लि. मिल्स में स्वाध्याय शिरोमणि आशुकविरत्न, आगम वारिधि, परमाराध्य आचार्यप्रवर पूज्य गुरुदेव श्री सोहनलाल जी म.सा. की पुण्य स्मृति में इन टीकाओं के हिन्दी अनुवाद को प्रकाश में लाने का निर्णय किया । यह महत्त्वपूर्ण कार्य विद्वज्जगत् को बहुत ही उपयोगी लगा, इससे हमें आत्मपरितोष मिला।
सं. २०५५ के अजमेर चातुर्मास में हमारी यह भावना रही कि अध्ययनार्थ श्रीयुत् डॉ. छगनलाल जी शास्त्री का हमें चारों माह योग प्राप्त हो । हमें यह व्यक्त करते हुए आध्यात्मिक उल्लास की अनुभूति होती है कि डॉ. शास्त्री जी ने अपने अन्यान्य कार्यक्रमों को छोड़कर चार ही माह का समय दिया । हमारा अध्ययन तो चला ही, साथ ही साथ डॉ. शास्त्रीजी एवं मुनि प्रियदर्शन जी ने सूत्रकृताङ्ग सूत्र के प्रथम श्रुतस्कंध की शीलाङ्काचार्य कृत टीका के अनुवाद का कार्य हाथ में लियो । कार्य बहुत विस्तृत था, हम सोचते थे कि क्या यह कार्य चातुर्मासावधि में सम्पन्न हो सकेगा ? किन्तु परमाराध्य गुरुदेवश्री की कृपा से एवं मुनि प्रियदर्शन जी के अथक परिश्रम से यह कार्य बड़े ही समीचीन रूप से सम्पन्न हो गया ।

Therefore, on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, in the memory of Swadhyaya Shiromani Ashukaviratna, Agam Varidhi, Paramaraadhya Acharya Pravar Pujya Gurudev Shri Sohनलाल Ji M.Sa., at the Super Sincotex India Ltd. Mills of Shri Bhimsingh Ji Sancheti, it was decided to publish the Hindi translation of these commentaries. In the Ajmer Chaturmas of Samvat 2055, we had the desire to have Shriyut Dr. Chaganlal Ji Shastri's presence for all four months for study. Our study continued, and Dr. Shastriji and Muni Priyadarshan Ji undertook the translation of the commentary by Acharya Sheelank on the first Shruta Skandha of the Sutra Kritanga Sutra. But by the grace of Paramaraadhya Gurudev Shri and the tireless efforts of Muni Priyadarshan Ji, this work was completed in a very appropriate manner.
