श्री सूत्रकृताङ्ग सूत्रम् टीका - यद्यप्यस्माकमसाधारणगुणोपलब्धेर्युष्मत्प्रत्ययेनैव प्रवृत्तिः स्यात् तथाप्येन्येषां मार्गः किंभूतो मयाऽऽख्येय इत्यभिप्रायवानाह-यदा कदाचित् 'नः' अस्मान् 'केचन' सुलभ बोधयः संसारोद्विग्नाः सम्यग्मार्ग पृच्छेयुः, के ते ? - 'देवाः' चतुर्निकायाः तथा मनुष्याः प्रतीताः बाहुल्येन तयोरेव प्रश्न सद्भावात्तदुपादानं, तेषां पृच्छतां कतरं मार्गमहम् 'आख्यास्ये' कथयिष्ये, तदेतदस्माकं त्वं जानानः कथयेति ॥३॥
टीकार्थ - यद्यपि हम तो आपकी असामान्य गुणों या लब्धि के कारण-आपके अनुत्तर गुणों को जानने के कारण आपके प्रत्यय-विश्वास से ही मान लेते हैं, किन्तु अन्य लोगों को हम किस प्रकार आख्यात करेंसमझावे । इस अभिप्राय से जम्बू स्वामी निवेदित करते हैं-भगवन् ! कई सुलभ बोधी-संसार से उद्विग्न जन हमसे सम्यक् मार्ग-सही मार्ग पूछे तो हम उन्हें कौन सा मार्ग बतलाये । पूछने वालों के सम्बन्ध में कहते हैं वे कौन ? प्रश्न का समाधान करते हुए बतलाते हैं-चार निकायों के देव तथा मनुष्य बहुलता से देवों और मनुष्यों द्वारा ही प्रश्न पूछा जाना संभावित है । आप ये जानते हैं । इसलिये हमें कहें ।
- जइ वो केइ पुच्छिजा, देवा अदुव माणुसा ।
तेसिमं पडिसाहिज्जा, मग्गसारं सुणेह मे ॥४॥ छाया - यदि वः केऽपि पृच्छेयु देवा अथवा मनुष्याः ।
तेषामिमं प्रतिकथयेमार्गसारं शृणुत मे ॥ अनुवाद - श्री सुधर्मा स्वामी जम्बू स्वामी से कहते हैं कि यदि कोई देव या मानव मोक्ष के संबंध में प्रश्न करे तो तुम उन्हें वह बतलाना जो मैं कह रहा हूं, उसे सुनो।
____टीका- एवं पृष्टः सुधर्मस्वाम्याह-यदि कदाचित् वः' युष्मान केचन देवा मनुष्या वा संसारभ्रान्तिपरामग्नाः सम्यग्मार्ग पृच्छेयुस्तेषां 'इम' मिति वक्ष्यमाणलक्षणं षड्जीवनिकायप्रतिपादनगर्भ तद्रक्षाप्रवणं मार्ग 'पडिसाहिजे' ति प्रतिकथयेत्, ‘मार्गसारम्' मार्गपरमार्थं यं भवन्तोऽन्येषां प्रतिपादयिष्यन्ति तत् 'मे' मम कथयतः शृणुत यूयमिति, पाठान्तरं वा "तेसिं तु इमं मग्गं आइक्खेज सुणेह मे' त्ति उत्तानार्थम् ॥४॥ पुनरपि मार्गाभिष्टवं कुर्वन्सुधर्मस्वाम्याह -
टीकार्थ - यों पूछे जाने पर सुधर्मा स्वामी प्रतिपादित करते हैं कि यदि संसार के भ्रमण से परिखिन्न देव या मानव सम्यक् मार्ग-मोक्ष का सही पथ पूछे तो तुम उनसे छः कायों के जीवों की रक्षा का उपदेश देने वाले मार्ग का प्रतिपादन करना । तुम जो श्रेष्ठ मार्ग औरों को प्रतिपादित करोगे वह मैं बतलाता हूँ । श्रवण करो । यहां 'तेसिं तु इमं मग्गं आइक्खेज सुणेह मे' यह पाठान्तर भी प्राप्त होता है । इसका अभिप्राय यह है कि तुम उनसे आगे कहे जाने वाले मार्ग का आख्यान करना । वह मुझसे सुनो । सुधर्मा स्वामी पुनः मार्ग को अभिस्तुत करते हुए कहते हैं ।
अणुपुव्वेण जमादाय
महाघोरं, कासवेण इओ पुव्वं, समुदं
