श्री सूत्रकृताङ्ग सूत्रम् विद्वानों तक पहुँचेंगे, उन द्वारा चिन्तनार्थ परिगृहीत होंगे, यदि एक भी विद्वान् सत्तत्व को समझ जाय तो सहस्रों साधारण जनों के समझने की दृष्टि से कहीं बढ़कर है । क्योंकि उसके माध्यम से सहस्रों लाखों तक वह बात पहुँचेगी, टीकाकारों के मन में भी कुछ ऐसा रूझान रहा हो । अनेक आचार्यों ने अनेक आगमों पर टीकाओं की रचना की जिनकी अपनी-अपनी दृष्टि से उपयोगिता है ।
आचाराङ्ग और सूत्रकृताङ्ग पर आचार्य शीलाङ्क की टीकाएं है, जैसा ऊपर उल्लेख किया गया है । आचार्यशीलाङ्क ने आगम में आए हुए वादों का सिद्धान्तों का, एवं चिन्तन धाराओं का बड़ी विद्वत्ता के साथ विवेचन किया है, उनकी भाषा में प्रौढ़ता है, वर्णन शैली में गम्भीरता है, और नैयायिकता का संपुट है आगम में आये, सांकेतिक वर्णन टीका के कारण बड़े स्पष्ट और विशद हो गए है।
टीका के अध्ययन अध्यापन के समय में एक विचार समुत्थित हुआ कि कितना अच्छा हो कि राष्ट्रभाषा हिन्दी के प्राञ्जल रूप में, अधुनातन शैली में इसका अनुवाद प्रकाशित किया जाय । अध्येता आचार्यश्री सुदर्शनलाल जी म. सा. तथा मुनिश्री प्रियदर्शन जी म. सा. ने इस पर और विशेष बल दिया कि ऐसा होने से आगमों के अध्ययन में निरत जिज्ञासुओं, मुमुक्षुओं तथा विभिन्न विश्वविद्यालयों में प्राकृत एवं जैनोलॉजी का अध्ययन करने वाले छात्रों को भी इससे विशेष लाभ होगा, क्योंकि अनेक विश्वविद्यालयों में सूत्रकृताङ्ग प्राकृत एवं जैनोलॉजी में पाठ्यग्रन्थ के रूप में स्वीकृत है।
श्री स्थानकवासी जैन स्वाध्यायी संघ के अधिकारियों एवं कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ भी चर्चाएं चली, सभी को यह विचार उपादेय प्रतीत हुआ । अक्षय तृतीया वि. सं. २०५५ पर वर्षीतप पारणों का विशाल आयोजनशासनगौरव, युवामनीषी, पूज्य आचार्य प्रवर श्री सुदर्शनलाल जी म. सा. के सान्निध्य में श्रीमान् भीमसिंह जी संचेती की मिल सुपर सिन्थेटिक्स लि. में आयोजित हुआ । उस समय नानक आम्नाय के सभी साधु साध्वी वृन्द उपस्थित थे । आचार्य प्रवर के सान्निध्य में एक गोष्ठी आयोजित हुई । जिसमें मुझे भी उपस्थित रहने का सुअवसर प्राप्त हुआ, गोष्ठी में यह चिन्तन चला कि परमाराध्य गुरुदेव आचार्य प्रवर स्व. श्री सोहनलाल जी म. सा. की पुण्यस्मृति में कोई ऐसा साहित्यिक कार्य स्वाध्यायी संघ हाथ में ले जिससे समग्र जैन जगत और जैन विद्या क्षेत्र के लोगो को चिरकाल पर्यन्त लाभ प्राप्त होता रहे ।
__चिन्तन मंथन के बाद यह निष्कर्ष निकला कि आचाराङ्ग एवं सूत्रकृताङ्ग इन दो अंगों पर आचार्य शीलाङ्क द्वारा रचित टीकाओं का तथा अवशिष्ट नौ अंगों पर आचार्य अभयदेवसूरी द्वारा रचित टीकाओं के हिन्दी अनुवाद का प्रकाशन आगम वारिधि परम पूज्य गुरुदेव आचार्य श्री सोहनलाल जी म. सा. की पुण्य स्मृति में किया जाये । टीकाओं के हिन्दी अनुवाद का प्रयत्न अब तक बहुत कम हुआ है । सूत्रकृताङ्ग की शीलाङ्काचार्य की टीका का अनुवाद श्रीमद् जवाहिराचार्य के तत्वावधान में पण्डित अम्बिकादत्त जी ओझा द्वारा किया गया काफी समय पूर्व प्रकाशित हुआ जो अब अप्राप्य है । इस लम्बी अवधि में राष्ट्रभाषा हिन्दी का शैली प्रेषणीयता आदि की दष्टि से बहमखी विकास हआ है। अतः अधनातन शैली में इसका अनवाद वर्तमान समय में जन-जन के लिए उपयोगी होगा, यह सोचते हुए ग्यारह अङ्गों की टीकाओं का हिन्दी अनुवाद प्रकाशन का निश्चय किया गया ।
इस सम्बन्ध में गणमान्य जैन आचार्यों, विद्वान् बहुश्रुत मुनियों तथा देश के प्राकृत, जैन आगम एवं दर्शन के विशिष्ट विद्वानों से पत्र व्यवहार किया गया । सभी ने इस कार्य को आवश्यक एवं उपादेय माना तथा सहर्ष सहयोग करने का भाव व्यक्त किया ।
इस संदर्भ में यहाँ चिन्तन चला कि हमें इस कार्य को सूत्रकृताङ्ग की शीलाङ्काचार्य कृत संस्कृत टीका के अनुवाद से प्रारम्भ करना चाहिए, तदनुसार इस कार्य में प्रस्तुत ग्रन्थ माला के प्रधान सम्पादक युवा मनीषी

Sa., the young sage, at the **Shriman Bhim Singh Ji Sancheti's Mill Super Synthetics Ltd.** At that time, all the sadhus and sadhvis of the Nanak Amnaya were present. After contemplation and deliberation, it was concluded that the commentaries written by Acharya Sheelank on these two Angas, **Acharang** and **Sutra Kritanga**, and the commentaries written by Acharya Abhaydevsuri on the remaining nine Angas, should be published in Hindi translation in the memory of the revered Gurudev Acharya Shri Sohनलाल Ji M. Sa. There has been very little effort to translate the commentaries into Hindi. The translation of the commentary of Sheelankacharya on **Sutra Kritanga** was done by Pandit Ambikadatt Ji Ojha under the guidance of Shrimad Javahiracharya, which was published a long time ago and is now unavailable.
