अन्वयभाष्यम् |
अग्नौ पुरतः वेदिसदने प्रतिष्ठापिते इध्महवनादिना च प्रदीप्ते अग्निमुखादिना संसिद्ध पावके गव्यान् गोमूत्रादीन् सम्मिलितान् पञ्च रसान कुशोदकैः सह सम्मेलनेन यथाविहितैः मन्त्रैः अभिमन्त्रितान् गवादिभ्यः सप्तभ्यः आवाहितदेवताभ्यः जुहोमि समर्पयामि, तत्र " गावो मातरः पवित्रैः " इत्यादिकया प्रत्येकया ऋचा, भूरिति अग्नये, भुव इति वायवे, स्वः इति सूर्याय, समस्ताभिस्तिसृभिः प्रजापतये च स्वाहा समर्पितमस्तु | एवं स्वाहाकारान्तया एकादश आहुती: जुहोमि इति ॥ एतेन तथा जुहुयात् इति अर्थोऽपि सम्पद्यते ॥

COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION
In this fire, ignited in front, and kindled by putting the sticks and made ready with Agni, I offer the oblations of all the bovine products (Pañcha Gavya) along with Kuśodaka. I consecrate the mixture with the prescribed mantras and offer to the cows etc. and the seven gods who are invoked with the mantras beginning with ' cow-mothers, with one mantra for each. Again, I offer oblations, with Bhuḥ to Agni, Bhuvaḥ to Vayu and Svaḥ to Surya; and with all the three to Prajapati and with Svaha with every one of them. Svaha means, may it be offered. Thus with the mantra ending with Svähä, I offer the eleven oblations. So it is indicated that the oblations be offered in this manner.
नवमी ऋक् ।
गा॒वो॒ वो मूत्रं पुरी॑षं॒ यद॑ दु॒ग्धं दध सर्पिः ।
पा॒व॒कान् वो॒ रसा॑नि॒मान् प्राश्वा॑सि॒ पञ्च॑ पू॒तये॑ ॥ ९ ॥
पदपाठः गा॒व॒ः । वः॒ः । मृ॒त्रम् । पुरी॑षम् । यत् । ऊ॒म् इति॑ दु॒ग्धम् । दधि॑ । सर्पं'।

Oh cows, cow-urine, cow-dung, curds, milk and ghee which are the wellknown five substances of yours are purificatory. For the purification of my body, I swallow them.

हे गावः ! वः युष्माकं यत् मूत्रं पुरीषं दुग्धं दधि घृतं च इति प्रसिद्धं गोरसपञ्चकं तान् इमान् पावकान् पवित्रसत्त्वान् पश्च रसान् पूतये आत्मनः शरीरेन्द्रियादेः समग्रस्य वशुद्ध प्राश्नामि इति ॥ उकारः पादपूरणः ॥ अत्र ऋषिः तत् हुतावशिष्ट पञ्चगव्यं एतच प्राश्नाति || अत्र यद्यपि " जुहोमि - प्राश्नामि " इत्यादिकं उत्तमपुरुषेणैव हवनादिकरणं
