'Om', the well-known Pranava Mantra. It is a form of speech which is his own. I practise tapas, by repeating the letter and by meditating on its meaning. Only him I seek who repeats the Pranava thus; he is supreme as my own soul; I seek him to get the internal peace of soul.
षष्ठी ऋक् । य ई स्वर स्तिस्रो व्याहस्तीह भूर्भुवः स्वर्वाचो यः समुच्छ्वसन् || तिम्रो व्याहृतीस्ता अनु तपस्यन्
सेन्द्रमेव तं वृणे शङ गमध्यै ॥ ६॥ पदपाठ :- यः। ई इति । स्वरन् । तिस्रः । विऽआहरति । इह ।
भूः। भुवः । स्वरिति स्वः । वाचः । यः । सम् । उत्ऽश्वसन् ॥ ति॒िस्रः । व्याहृतीः । ताः । अनु । तपस्यन् । सः । इन्द्रम् । एव । तम् । वृणे । शम् । गमध्यै ।।

He utters “İM”; while doing so he breathes out the three Vyàhstis (Mantras) through his speech, Bhuh, Bhuvah, and Svah. I follow those three and practise tapas. Thereby I seek Indra only to get peace of soul.
अन्वयभाष्यम्। यः इन्द्रः ई इति इदं गुह्यं अक्षरं स्वरन् इह अस्मिन् ब्रह्माण्डे बहिः “भूः भुवः स्वः” इति तिस्रः ता: एता: वाचः वायूपाः यजुर्मन्त्रात्मिका: व्याहरति उच्चरति, ताश्च पुनः यः उच्छ्वसन् केवलं उच्छ्वासरूपेण अनु नादयति, तस्य ताः व्याहृती: मन्त्ररूपाः तिस्रः वाच: अवलम्ब्य तपस्यन् तजपादिना तपश्चरन् सः अयं अहं तं तथा व्याहृतिमुखेन उच्छ्वसन्तं इद्रमेव कल्याणं अधिगन्तुं शरणं प्रपद्ये इति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION
Indra repeats the secret letter “İM” within himself, and breathes out in this Brahmānda the words Bhah, Bhuvah, and Svah. They are the mantras of Yajurveda. He breathes them out. I follow him by practising tapas in his way. Through those Vyahrtis, I seek Indra only for welfare.
