छन्दोदर्शनम्
अन्वयभाष्यम् |
हे भगवति ! त्वं सरस्वती ज्ञानादिसर्वशक्तिपूर्णा, अतः एव त्वां प्रति याचे सर्वमेतत् सत्त्वम् परमार्थफलं सतत्त्वम्, तथा हि-- सत्यं यथार्थं शाश्वतं नित्यं वस्तुतत्त्वम् धर्मं च, परमं हितं हिततमं परं ब्रह्म पूर्णं वस्तु, तथा आत्मानं तव मम च सर्वेषामपि अन्तरात्मानं मह्यं मदर्थं ब्रह्मणा मन्त्रेण आदिश शासनरूपया वाचा उपादिश-बोधय, तथा ऋजुना सरलेन निष्कण्टकेन च सुपथा सन्मार्गण साम्ना समभावेन समाधानेन च मां इमं प्रणय प्रेरय, समुन्नय, यतः सा त्वं वागेव पुरुषस्य परमा हिततमा पूज्या माताऽसि इति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION
Oh Venerable Sarasvati ! you are full of all powers, like Jñāna (knowledge) and others. Therefore, I request you to show me the way to truth and to the supreme benefit, as well as Brahma. Show me by means of mantras the Brahmātmā who is in you and me and all. Instruct me by correct directions. Likewise, by straight and a safe well-laid path, lead me quietly to the highest goal.
द्वादशी ऋक् ।
सरस्वति त्वं भा॑य॒ मां सुतं ते
ब्रह्म॑णे वा॒चे ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पत॑ये॒ नम॑ः ॥
नि धे॑हि॒ ब्रह्म॑णा॒ऽऽत्मन्य॒न्तः सन्दशं वाक् प॑र॒मा ज्योति॒र्विश्व॑स्य दर्शयेत् ॥ १२ ॥
पदपाठ :- सरस्वति । त्वम् । भावय । माम् । सुतम् । ते । ब्रह्मणे । वाचे । ब्रह्म॑णः । पत॑ये । नमः ॥

नि । धेहि । ब्रह्म॑णा । आत्मनि । अन्तरिति । सम्ऽदृश॑म् । वाक् । प॒र॒मा । ज्येतैिः । विश्व॑स्य । द॒र्शय॑त् ॥
Oh Sarasvati! accept me as your own son. Salutation to Brahma, to Vak and to Brahmanaspati, your Lord the Supreme Purusha. Plant me in your own good self and invest me with the power of mantras and inner knowledge. You are indeed Vak, the light par excellence which illumines everything in this universe.
