छन्दोदर्शनम
सत्येनं । श्रत् । धापय। अस्मै । प्रति । मह्यम् ।
वाक् । विदा । परमा । पुरुषस्य । माता ॥ Oh Sarasvati ! just as you have supreme faith in your Lord, endow me with the same kind of faith in the Lord. You are indeed Vāk, the supreme measure and mother of Purusha in virtue of intelligence.
अन्वयभाष्यम् । हे भगवति ! त्वं सरस्वती स्वयं रसमयी आनन्दात्मिका प्रेमस्वरूपा सती स्वे निजे परमे पुरुषे यथा येन प्रकारेण विश्वथा आत्मना सर्वप्रकारेण सर्वात्मना च यत् खलु त्वं श्रद्धत्से श्रद्धां भक्तिं धारयसे, तथा तया विधयैव अस्मै त्वदुपासकाय वाङ्मातृभक्तिपरायणाय मह्यं मदर्थं श्रद्धापय श्रद्धां उत्पादय, यतः सा त्वं वाग्देवतैव पुरुषस्य परमा पूज्या श्रेष्ठतमा माता भवसि इति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION Oh Venerable Sarasvati ! you are the very soul of delight and you are love incarnate. You have supreme faith in every way and with all your heart in your Lord. Let me, your devotee, have the very same kind of faith in the Supreme Being.
एकादशी ऋक् | सरस्वती त्वं सत्यं हितं परमं मामादिश ब्रह्म ब्रह्मणाऽऽत्मानम् ॥ ऋजुना मां सुपथा साम्ना प्रणय
वाग विदा परमा पुरुषस्य माता ॥ ११ ॥ पदपाठ :- सरस्वती । त्वम् । सत्यम् । हितम् । परमम् ।
मह्यम् । आऽदिश । ब्रह्म । ब्रह्मणा । आत्मानम् ।। ऋजुना । माम् । सुऽपा । साम्ना । प्र । नय ।
वाक् । विदा । परमा । पुरुषस्य । माता ॥ Oh Sarsavati! teach me by means of mantras the Brahma, the Truth and that which is highly beneficial. Lead me by a straight and well-laid path. You are indeed Vak, the supreme measure and mother of Purusha, in virtue of your intelligence.
