अष्टमी ऋक् । सरस्वति त्वं ज्योतिषाऽनु त्रिभिस्तेजसाऽद्भिर्भूम्या विश्व भूतं प्रति ॥ मात्रया चिता त्रिवृताऽन्तः परीता
वाग् विदा माता विश्वस्यात्मनः परी ॥ ८ ॥ पदपाठ:- सरस्वति । त्वम् । ज्योतिषा । अनु । त्रिभिः ।
तेजसा । अत्ऽभिः । भूम्या । विश्वम् । भूतम् । प्रति ॥ मात्रया । चिता । त्रिऽवृता । अन्तरिति । परि' । इता ।
वाक् । विदा । माता । विश्वस्य । आत्मनः । परी ॥ Oh Sarasvati ! you pervade the whole universe. You do so by your illumined soul, which inspires the three elements, light, water and earth ( the essence of these three ) in their triple combinations. Vak is the mother of the universe and the evidence of Ātman.
अन्वयभाष्यम् । हे सरस्वति ! त्वं ज्योतिषा ज्योतिरात्मना सह अनु अन्विता सती त्रिभिः तेजसा अद्भिः पृथिव्या च इति एतैः भूतैः इदं विश्वं भूतजातं चिता मात्रया चिन्मात्रया त्रिवृतं त्रिवृत्कृतं इदं परीता व्याप्ता, सर्वत्रापि अनुस्यूता असि, तस्मात् सा वागेव विदा संविद्योगेन अस्य विश्वस्य जगत: माता प्रसवित्री, तथा आत्मनः प्रमात्री च भवतीति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION Oh Sarasvati ! you, in the form of illumined soul, pervade the whole of the universe. Tejas ( light), waters ( the essence of liquids), and the earth (the essence of solids), by the process of triple combination (trivrtkarana) have transformed themselves into the manifest universe. You have pervaded all these by your subtle form. Vāk as the mother of the universe and the measure of Atman.
नवमी ऋक् । सरस्वति त्वं ब्रह्मणस्पतर्वाचआत्मनो विसृष्टं प्रति विश्वरूपम् || अनु विश्व भूतमेतद् विश्वरूपा
