मूलाचारतम्हा पुढवीए आरंभे णिचं विराहणा तेसिं ॥ १००७
पृथिवीकायिकजीवाः पृथिव्याः चापि आश्रिताः संति । तस्मात् पृथिव्या आरंभे नित्यं विराधना तेषां ॥१००७॥
अर्थ—पृथिवीकायिक जो जीव हैं और जो पृथिवी आश्रित त्रस जीव हैं उन सबका घात पृथिवीके खोदने जलानेरूप आरंभ करनेसे सदा होता है ॥ १००७ ॥ तम्हा पुढविसमारभो दुविहो तिविहेण वि। जिणमग्गाणुचारीणं जावजीवं ण कप्पई ॥ १००८ ॥
तस्मात् पृथिवीसमारंभो द्विविधः त्रिविधेनापि । जिनमार्गानुचारिणां यावज्जीवं न कल्प्यते ॥ १००८ ॥
अर्थ-जिस कारण समारंभमें हिंसा है इसलिये पृथिवीका दोप्रकारका समारंभ मनवचनकायसे जिनमार्गके अनुकूल चारित्र पालनेवाले साधुओंको जीवनपर्यंत करना योग्य नहीं है ॥१००८॥ जो पुढविकाइजीवे णवि सद्दहदि जिणेहिं णिहिटे। दूरस्थो जिणवयणे तस्स उवट्ठावणा णत्थि ॥१००९॥
यः पृथिवीकायजीवान् नापि श्रद्दधाति जिनैः निर्दिष्टान् । दूरस्थो जिनवचनात् तस्य उपस्थापना नास्ति ॥ १००९ ॥
अर्थ-जो जिनेंद्रदेवकर कहे गये पृथिवीकायिक जीवोंका श्रद्धान नहीं करता वह जिनवचनोंसे दूर रहनेवाला है उसके सम्यग्दर्शनादिमें स्थिति नहीं है ॥ १००९॥ जो पुढविकायजीवे अइसद्दहदे जिणेहिं पण्णत्ते । उबलद्धपुण्णपावस्स तस्सुवट्ठावणा अत्थि ॥१०१०॥
यः पृथिवीकायिकजीवान अतिश्रद्दधाति जिनैः प्रज्ञप्तान् ।
