मूलाचारकोधो माणो माया लोभो य दुरासया कसायरिऊ। दोससहस्सावासा दुक्खसहस्साणि पावंति ॥ ७३५॥
क्रोधः मानः माया लोभश्च दुराश्रयाः कषायरिपवः । दोषसहस्रावासाः दुःखसहस्राणि प्रापयंति ॥ ७३५ ॥
अर्थ-दुष्ट हैं आलंवन जिनको, हजारों दोषोंके निवास ऐसे क्रोध मान माया लोभ ये चार कषायरूपी शत्रु जीवोंको हजारों दुःख प्राप्त करते हैं ॥ ७३५ ॥ हिंसादिएहिं पंचहिं आसवदारेहिं आसवदि पावं । तेहिंतो धुव विणासो सासवणावा जह समुद्दे ॥७३६॥ हिंसादिभिः पंचभिः आस्रवद्वारैः आस्रवति पापं । तेभ्यो ध्रुवं विनाशः सास्रवनौः यथा समुद्रे ॥ ७३६ ॥
अर्थ-हिंसा असत्य आदि पांच आस्रवोंके द्वारकर पापकर्म आता है और उन आस्रवोंसे निश्चयकर जीवोंका नाश होता है, जैसे छिद्रसहित नाव समुद्र में डूब जाती है । इसीतरह कर्मास्रवोंसे जीवभी संसारसमुद्रमें डूबता है ॥ ७३६ ॥ एवं बहुप्पयारं कम्मं आसवदि दुट्टमहविहं । णाणावरणादीयं दुक्खविवागंति चिंतेजो ॥ ७३७॥
एवं बहुप्रकारं कर्म आस्रवति दुष्टमष्टविधं । ज्ञानावरणादिकं दुःखविपाकमिति चिंतयेत् ॥ ७३७॥
अर्थ-इस तरह ज्ञानावरणादि आठ भेदरूप तथा उत्तरभेदोंसे बहुत प्रकार दुष्ट कर्म आते हैं इसलिये उस कर्मास्रवको दुःखफल देनेवाला चितवन करना चाहिये ॥ ७३७ ॥
