वंदणमेयं मल्लाइ पूयणं वत्थमाइ सक्कारी माणसपीई माणो, एमाई सुहममइगम्मं 11 १७
१७. इन लौकिक देवों का वन्दन करना, पुष्पमालादि चढाना, पूजा करना, वस्त्रादि चढाना, सत्कार करना, हार्दिक अनुराग रखना, सन्मान देना इत्यादि मिथ्यात्व है। इसे सूक्ष्म बुद्धि से जानना चाहिए।
17. To pay homage to mundane gods; sing panegyrics for them; offer oblations of flowers, garlands, apparels, etc. to them; worship and honour them; have deep faith in them; etc. are included in the said types of unrighteousness. The wise should know this precisely.

१८. लौकिक देवों के जो इच्छा, ऐश्वर्य (परिग्रह) आदि लक्षण हैं उन्हें लोकोत्तम देवों अर्थात् वीतराग देवों पर आरोपित करना मिथ्यात्व है ।
18. To install the attributes of mundane gods; such as desire, grandeur (covetousness), etc.; in the higher gods (the Detached ones or Tirthankars) is unrighteousness.
तह अणतित्थियाणं, तावससकाइलिंगधारीणं पुव्वालवणाइ परिच्चओ य तव्वयणकरणाई ॥ ୨୧ ။
१९. इसी प्रकार अन्य तैर्थिकों, तापस, शाक्य आदि वेशधारियों के साथ वार्तालाप करना, उनसे अति परिचय करना और उनके वचनानुसार कार्य करना आदि भी मिथ्यात्व है।
