નિર્જા ભાવના—
કાઁનું નિરણ કરવું અર્થાત્ બદ્ધ કર્માંને આત્માથી હડ્ડાવવાં એને ‘નિરા ’ કહેવામાં આવી છે. આ નિર્જરા એ પ્રકારની છે— સકામા અને અકામા · મારાં કમોને ક્ષય થાઓ ’ એવી બુદ્ધિપૂર્વક કરાતાં તપશ્ચર્યાં વગેરે અનુષ્ઠાનાથી કર્મોના જે ક્ષય થાય છે, તે સકામનિરા છે, અને કર્માંના સ્થિતિકાળ પૂરા થતાં સ્વતઃ કનુ ખરી પડવું એ અકા–નિર્જરા છે. + ”—૩૧
અધ્યાત્મતત્ત્વાલાક.
लोकभावना
यथाsस्ति जीवैश्व जडैश्व पूर्णो लोकोऽयमेवं परिचिन्तनं यत् । सा भावना लोकविचाररूपा मनोवशीकारफलमधाना ॥ ३२ ॥

Reflection 03 this phenomenal world (as it appears to be or as it is) that it is full of animate and inanimate objects is Loka Bhavana (reflection on soul and mutter). Such meditation is highly conducive to the subjugation of mind. ( 32 )
Notes:-Lokabhāvanā means reflecting over the figure, form, materials and nature of the Universe, as lid down in the Jain scriptures. It includes reflection over the relation between the soul and matter and different forms, conditions of life, longevity in the celestial, middle and nether regions.
