॥ सुखावतीव्यूहः ॥ अथ खलु भगवांस्तस्यां वेलायामिममेवाथै भूयस्या मात्रया परिदीपयनिमा गाथा अभाषत।
यथैव गंगानदीवालिकासमा । बुद्धान क्षेत्रा अमितायुनायकं ॥१॥ बहुपुष्यपूटी गृहीत्व। ते नानावणे सुरभी मनोरमां'। ओकिरति नरनायकोतमं । अमितायु' नरदेवपूजितं ॥२॥ नथ दक्षिणा" पश्चिमोतरासु। बुद्धान क्षेत्रा दशतासु यांतकाः। यती यतो आगमि बुद्ध वंदितुं। संबोधिसत्वा अमितायुनायकं ॥३॥
1वेलायोमिमा A. घेलायामिमां B.C. वेलायामिमा P. गगा A. कुमा B.; deest in A. C. P. - This is all that remains of what seems to have been the first verse, consisting of four lines. As the Chinese versions agree in mentioning the Eastern quarter in the first verse, we may conjecture something like:
यथैव गंगानदिवालिकासमा। बुद्धान क्षेत्रा पुरिमा दिशाय। यतो यतो सागमि बुद्ध वंदितुं ।
सबोधिसत्वा अमितायुनायकं ॥१॥ The general outline of the metre is + -ul--luu-lucu(-). B.P.
भि B. P. मामु P. उकि, but see verse 4. अमित वायु A. B. अमितमितायु. 10 Here the metre seems very imperfect, and cannot be restored by a comparison of verse 4. Possibly a shorter metre than that of verse 1 may have been intended. 11 ण A. B.C. न P. 1 था A. B. P. 13 संबो A. B. P.
