TRANSLATION
The cave has been made for the Kalinga recluses 1 of the Arhata (Jain) faith,2-caused to be made by the chief queen of His Graceful
Majesty Khāravela, the (King) Overlord of Kaliiga,-by the daughter of the high-souled 3 King Lalarka 4 Hastisaha or Hastisimha.
