( २१ ) ज्ञानमुत्पद्यते पुसां क्षयात् पापस्य कर्मणः । यथादर्शतले पूख्ये पश्यत्यात्मानमात्मनि ॥
पाप कर्म के छय से लोगों को ज्ञान होता है जैसे दर्पण में वेसे अपने में परम अस्मा को मनुष्य देखता है।
Wisdom of men rises from the destruction of sin. Then he sees the Spirit in himself, as it were, in a mirror.
प्रसृतैरिन्द्रियैदुःखी तैरेव नियतैः सुखी। तस्मादिन्द्रियरूपेभ्यो यच्छेदात्मानमात्मना ॥
इन्द्रियों के साथ चलने से जीव दुःखी होता है और उनको काबू में रखने से सुखी । इसलिए इन्द्रियों के विषयों से अपने को आत्मा के बलसे रोको ।
A person suffers by going ifter the senses, and gets joy by controlling them. Therefore restrain thyself by the power of the Spirit from the temptations of the senses.
इन्द्रियेभ्यो मनः पूर्वं बुद्धिः परतरा ततः । बुद्धेः परतरं ज्ञानं ज्ञानात् परतरं महत् ।।
इन्द्रियों से मन आगे है, उससे आगे बुद्धि है, वुद्धि से भागे शान और शान से परे महत् अर्थात् वडा ( ईश्वर ) है ।
The will is bevo:d the senses; the intellect is beyond the will; wisdom is beyond the intellect, The Great (God) ie beyond wisdom.
अव्यक्तात् प्रसृतं ज्ञानं ततो बुद्धिस्ततो मनः । मनः श्रौत्रादिभिर्युक्तं शब्दादीन् साधु पश्यति ।।
अश्य से ज्ञान निकला उस से बुद्धि और बुद्धि से मन । मन कान भादि इन्द्रियों से मिलके शब्द आदि विषय अच्छी तरह देखता है।
Wisdom proceeds from the luvisible; from wisdom, the intellect; from the intellecet, the will. The will united to the senses, hearing, &c., perceives objects, sound, &c.
