This MS runs up to the end of the 12th chapter. The colophons represent this to be the first part (Pūrvakhanda) of the work. According to the post-colophon statement the 13th chapter was deliberately not copied as it dealt with what is called bhutasuddhi. The work is described in L. I, 295 and L. VI, 2188 which contain 21 and 14 chapters respectively. It deals principally with the worship of Kāli and incidentally gives incantations for various magic rites.
