It thus appears that the author composed this treatise for the sake of some Englishmen who intended to study the Sanskrit language through the medium of Persian. And in doing so, he was patronised by the Governor General. He further states in this connection that the Sarasvati Bhavana at Benares was also founded as a result of the initative taken by the East India Company.
