90. BHASKARARĀYA. He was a famous devotee of Sakti and an advocate of fäktamata. There are many traditional stories indicating his superhuman powers and activities in the south. He was the son of Gambhiraräjabhārati dikaita of Benares. He spent bis early years in several courts and finally came to Tanjore and studied under Gangidbera vājapeyin. Admiring his mysterious powers due to the worship of Sakti and his profound scholarship King Shähaji presented him with a village of 40 houses, namely Bhåskararāyapuram on the banks of the Kāveri. And he distri. buted all the forty houses to his disciples. Many of his own collections are now found here in this Library. His works are:

91. SRÏDHARAVENKATESĀ, He was the son of Lingārya. He is one of the 46 persons of Shaharajapuram. 'Ayyāvāl’is bis popular-name. He was believed to be a famous devotee of Siva and has shown many mysteries. Therefore a festival is performed in his name even to. day on the new-inoon day of Arpaśí month every year. He was an elder contemporary of Sadāśivabrahman, the great Rajayogi. He was also a contemporary of Nallāśastrin and Venkatesvarabástrin. His works are:

92. SUMATĪND RATĪRTHA. He was a Madhya brahman and a disciple of Sūrindratsrtha and Venkatanārāyaņa. He was patronised by Shahaji. It is be. lieved that he was provided with a mutt near Tiruvadamaradūr. He collected many Mss. and some are now found in this Library. His works are:
